I'd invest it, my family does a bit of investing so I know where to hit the market now and then. I bet we could flip 50k into 500k in a few months..

1.fully repair my car (approx. 5,000)
2. spread 10,000 amongst friends and family
3. Save about 10,000 for college that Ill need for what scholarships don't pay for
4. Put about 20,000 in my savings to collect some mucho interest
5. Put about 2,000 in checking to just have for later
6. Spend the remaining 3,000 on random games, CD's, books, MTG cards, etc. that Ive wanted for a while.

I think I'd have about $17,000 of it left after that, which I'd leave in savings.
