I keep mine in a crude linen bag at the back of a closet.

Does it have a huge black dollar sign on it?

Buy a new TV, since this one is breaking down so it seems, use a part to pay for 2 years of college, some for a couple of extra driving lessons and a cheap car and put the rest in a savings account, maybe invest it if I can do so low-risk.

Boring isn't it? What can I say, it's not like it's any use for me to buy a crapton of games or a Wii or something. I don't have time to finish my humongous backlog as it is, better invest cash like that wisely.

I'll use it to make the most violent, hardcore gory game ever to be made with 50 grand in cash! And it will be officially endorsed by Jack Thompson himself, and people will see that every time they even look the game up.

Besides, Penny Arcade already did the whole "donation to charity by Jack Thompson" thing.
Haha "funded by jack thompson" on bottom of cover art

Use it to pay for my college, the rest will go in the bank. Hopefully I'll be able to buy a car without paying any damn bills for it if the money sits in there long enough.

Well, I do need a car that isn't in the shop every five minutes.
I'd prolly buy a neon green Camero right off the lot. I've always wanted to pay for a car in full at the dealership.

What's 50,000USD. Like ten pounds, yeah?

Jack Thompson. Don't ask how or why. For all you know, he suffered a bout of temporary insanity (well, more than usual), held a random drawing, and you were the lucky winner. Regardless of the reason, you now have this money, and he asks what you are going to do with it.

So, what do you do? Give it to charity? Intentionally piss him off and buy video games? Invest? Refuse it? The choice is yours, and you're limited only by your imagination.

As for me, I would donate most of it to Child's Play, just to see his face when he sees his money go to buy video games for kids (of course, I'm assuming he doesn't know that CP donates age appropriate video games).

So, let's hear your ideas?
Why do I care that it came from Jack Thompson. He seems like an alright fellow on a personal level. He's just a little misguided about videogames. So thanks for the 50k Jack. My first impulse is actually going to be to try to get him to take it back. This is crazy, here. Provided he insists or I can stifle that impulse I'm going back to school.

Gosh how far would I stretch that glorious paper... I guess I'd have to put most of it in the bank, and cut into it for college tuition, but I'd have to immediately go on a hat buying spree, then get some music equipment, and give some to charity, along with just keeping a wad of ones and fives around to give to street performers and such.

Make a game where you're an escaped mental patient and you have to fight your way through a hospital, orphanage, old folk's home, school, carnival and cathedral to escape.

The plot twist at the end is you're Jack Thompson.
