This is my tattoo. I posted it on a different tattoo-related thread awhile back, so here it is again.

My and my best friend (we call him Buddy) always joked seriously about getting a triforce tattoo once we got old enough. Sadly, he never reached that age, but I incorporated the triforce into my tattoo because of this.

(On a side note, damn is it weird to type this all out. It'll be two years on August 16th that he's been gone. My last time seeing him conscious was July 29th, 2009).

Memorial tattoos are probably one of the most legitimate reasons to get a tattoo. I don't have any myself mainly because lack of funds, but my friend has 2. Anyways, sorry for your loss, it's rough.

Rough is a good euphemism, heh. I'm just thinking out loud here, but I'm wondering if I'm always going to cringe at the thought of this 2 1/2 week period, with my birthday right in the middle of it. Honestly, the main thing I want is for August 16th to just be behind me for another year.

I don't want to go off-topic, in any case. I have considered getting another tattoo that was related to my life or gaming career, but haven't found a symbol as iconic as the triforce. Depending on how the Borderland series goes, I may end up getting the Ark symbol. It's simplistic but very cool looking. I don't want anything fancy, just a cool symbol. Black and white or color, doesn't matter much.

If I had to, it'd be either Final Fantasy or Warcraft related.

I'd stay away from existing emblems or tattoos (save for incorporating a crest somehow) simply because every nerd out there with a gaming tat has gotten basically the same thing--an existing "tattoo" a character has or a piece of official artwork. I like keeping my tattoos unique, not just recycling old ideas.

Not to be like I'm some wise old man or anything. But it'll never get *easy* per se. Some people just tend to accept it sooner than others. That's what religion is for I guess.
