Both are from Cracked, a humor site, but contain really, REALLY good points about the gaming industry today. Discuss.

They're both very true. What else is there to say? They make any argument worth making. So if you want my opinions on this, I can just copy-pasta everything said, because I agree wholeheartedly.

Meh, I didn't agree on some points, but I get it. The article touches on the regular mistakes, but some of them I'm OK with.

You can't just say "discuss" and make this a topic for discussion. There's nothing to discuss here.

Oh WOW! This 'Cracked' website is AWESOME! I've never seen it before anywhere in my many years as an internet dweller, and certainly never seen those articles linked on a gaming forum before.

Thank GOD you brought this to my attention, my life is enriched thanks to you.

Mega sarcasm hooooo

As usual with Cracked, they're being really anal about a bunch of things which are entirely minor. Quelle surprise.

I frequent Cracked.com a lot, so I've already read them. They're both great articles, but really, what else is there to discus?

Oh wow your right! Good point! Now that you bring it up, all the other gaming forums are talking about MW2 also, so lets take that down as well, nothing thats never been talked about before. Oh and also Mass Effect. And Assasin's Creed. And Halo. And really every game out right now. Lets never talk about them again, because its already been done on other forums. Fuck, why even have these forums at all? Now you've enriched my life.

Oh and every one else, guys like him, who think this is just a bunch of people being 'anal' is why I have this up for discussion.

Well, The Morality System can work if executed in a proper way (IE not like Fable, or Fable 2), a combination of how the Fallout series and Mass Effect handle it would be ideal.

And I actually did enjoy the espionage part of Mass Effect. It wasn't my favorite part, but I thought it was cool that I took down an unsavoury man in a position of power like it was no big deal.

I also like big-ass beat 'em ups like Dynasty Warriors, and going from a Rusty Iron Longsword vs Rat to The Ultimate Sword of Destiny vs Satan adds a nice sense of progression and accomplishment. For me at least.

I wholeheartedly agree with the #1 Commandment, though.

Yeah I think stealth sections in non-stealth games can be done alright. They add a little variety to the gameplay and create a different type of tension. Thats probly the point I disagree with most.
