Who said all compelling games are hollywood action or linear corridors? Or are you just picking the 70% bad games these days? I can at least agree with that. But don't judge me that my investment in storyline comes from Gears of War 3 or FF 13.TehCookie said:You can still play a single player game in spirit, where instead of bitching about games just sit back and enjoy them.Mirroga said:Some of us just don't play games that have zero stories. To me, it is required to get invested on the character. If there's no story, it feels like a casual game for me. Exceptions are if the gameplay is very awesome and atmosphere is well done. For example, I love the Untitled Story and Plants VS Zombies, games with either little to zero story.
Right now I'm enjoying Persona 2 so much. I love the oldschool game BS over the bland streamlined hollywood action movie games. I'm weird and would rather get lost than be forced down a linear corridor with no exploring.
Now if only my internet actually worked on my console, I would be enjoying Portal 2 Coop and possibly some other multiplayer. Tch, I need a new laptop to play DotA 2 with everyone.
