Metal Gear Solid 4, the stealth gameplay was so shallow and unsatisfying and I also didn't really care about all the AI and other sci-fi crap. I'd also pick MGS: Peace Walker for pretty much the same reasons, but it wasn't much of a dissapointment after MGS4. At least it convinced me to abandon the series.
Hasn't really happened to me, because I spend weeks on GameFAQs and youtube before deciding to get it or not.
If we count demos, Just Cause 2. The combat was terrible, the controls lagged, and the time limit meant it ended as soon as I finally started having fun. On top of that, the textures were shit, bodies faded instantly, the cars were uncontrollable and the voice acting was laughable.
