I would sell Dice to Activision, force Bioware to turn Mass Effect into a sci-fi FPS series I release every year on the 21 of December starting this year, make it so every game on every systems requires you to make an Origin's account, online passes just to play a single-player game with constant connection required, I would make all games require a DLC purchase to defeat the final boss.

Then I would use the money from selling Dice to make a giant, black tower with a flaming eye on top that I can use to look into the very souls of my customers. And this song would play through loudspeakers at all hours of the day.

RIGHT!

...fix my FIFA 12 disc so I can download and play with custom teams and gimme a free FIFA 13 disc. And while your at make sure our games aren't glitchy and flawed. And also add all these features to the next FIFA.

Madden, can we please do something about Madden. Anything that makes it worth the price. Or in the alternative turn it into yearly DLC for the roster updates. If one year there is no new tech, then its a roster/DLC year. If something new to bring to the table, then you get the full AAA title treatment.

I would like to see a valid Rugby title as someone pointed out above.

Snowboarding too

I know this is really awkward but I want to buy Silicon Knights' IPO's just so I can find out how the hell Too Human was supposed to end (assuming they made their trilogy)

Remake Mass Effect 3 with Drew Karpyshyn in charge of the story. The game will be 50% off for everyone who purchased the abomination of ME3. Original ME3 will be officially declared as a spin-off piece of shit. After they make ME3 the way it was supposed to be made, if the company doesn't go bankrupt I'd order Bioware to make Jade Empire 2, but I would give them a lot of creative control. Then I would resurrect Pandemic and make them work on Battlefront 3 and Mercenaries 3. Again, with a lot of creative control. I'd only check in every once in a while to see if they're treating the PC version with respect.

Go back, and fix up the rights for System Shock 3.
Give them back to Irrational, because Ken Levine and co. are the only guys who could really get it right.

THEN I will fix all of the stupid crap that EA has done.
However long that may take...

AND FIRE WHOEVER MADE THAT STUPID CLAIM ABOUT DEAD SPACE 3'S SALES EXPECTATIONS.

Let's see...

First order of business, fire virtually all of the top management. Most notably John Riccitiello. The guy's evil and detrimental to not only his own company but the industry as a whole.

Second order of business, fire EA's current PR team. Every time they put their minds together something awful, childish, and insulting comes out. They'd need to go.

After that, it would be a matter of rebuilding.

First I'd start with making a promise to the share-holders. (bare with me here) I'd explain that the company was founded on the ideals of making games gamers want to play. That the goal was to make games engaging and fun as well as investing in new and intriguing ideas instead of just watering everything down to appeal to a wider audience. And, though the company has veered FAR off course from that ideal, I would do everything I can to bring it back to that. Even if it means completely reorganizing the company.

Immediately after, I'd get our new PR department to begin the arduous trek towards rebuilding our image among gamers. It would start with a solemn apology for all of the egregious bullshit (not quite how it would be worded, of course) this company has perpetrated for the past few years. Then, I would state that I would make it my top priority to rebuild the company in a way that not only let's developers develop the games THEY want, but also makes it a priority to concentrate on the costumers wants and needs first and foremost.

I'd then work towards restructuring any and all contracts made with in-house and ancillary development studios currently under the EA label. In basic terms, the devs would have more freedom in the creation process but it would come at a heavier cost to funding. I.E. if one of their projects ends up being a severe flop, the funding for their next project would be cut drastically, if given funding at all.

This way, they'd be free to be as creative and unique as they want, but the responsibility of making a game gamers want is all-but squarely on their shoulders.

Another change high up on the "to do" list would be a complete redesign and rebuild of Origin, as well as virtually all of our online services and feature-sets. I'd have my crack team of designers and engineers start working on more user-friendly features and functions, as well as less obtrusive DRM feature-sets. I'd also have my design team brain-storm ideas for new player and developer incentives in an attempt to bring more people into the service.

Beyond that, there're only a few minor thing here and there that I'd change.

Would my ideas work? Hell if I know. But honestly? It's not like it could be any worse than what EAs current management/owners are doing, right?

Simple, for the next ten years, no sequals, tie-ins, or remakes. Everyone has to come up with at least one new idea, or they're out on their ass. No restrictions on premise, budget or time for development, as long as the idea is something they actually want to work on, they're golden.

Also, I'd sell all the sports video-game rights, or at least stop pushing all my money at them. I think we've gone far enough, when, during press releases, they like to talk about how they rendered the sweat on some athelietes butt-crack. They have too much money if they've got enough to waste it on shit like that. Also, make Bioware it's own company again, with full production and financial support, of course. Oh, and maybe try and force the Mojang guys to take some of my money too. I'd love to see what they could do with it.

Step 1: dive headlong into their swimming pool filled with money and paddle around for a bit, Scrooge McDuck style (c'mon, they totally have one of those, right?!?)

Step 2: *shrugs*

Step 3: PROFIT!

Seriously though, I don't even have the first clue where I'd start. This isn't going to be a popular answer, but I'd probably take a look at all the different development stuidos they own and look at either culling or outsourcing some of the underperforming ones. Yes that means some previously-great studios might get axed, but the word "previously" is there for a reason...

I think I'd definitely look at implementing focus-group testing towards the end of the game development cycle too, especially for high-profile titles, and horrible though this will sound I'd start beating developers around the head if they ignore the feedback that comes from these sessions. Once upon a time I'd have assumed that EA already did this, but the whole ME3-ending debacle convinced me that they obviously don't. Those who say this practice will undermine games as an artform can bite me because 1: I'm the boss of EA and I don't care, and 2: it's standard practice in the world of film, and we still call movies art.

I would ride around in a stretch Humvee laughing about all the nerds on forum crying about some dev EA shut down 10 years ago drinking the tears from finest cut crystal champagne flutes.

Otherwise I would leave the business run as usual.
