You see, ladies? THIS is why men think you're absolutely insane.

There is (or used to be) a reality show based on this premise, except instead of a female PI, it was models of both genders. The whole premise was jealous lovers trying to get their significant other to cheat on them, and their reaction after they found out if they did or not. Reality TV today may be trashy, but that show (Cheaters? I,'m not sure on the title) and Temptation Island show that the low point was hit shortly after Survivor came out.

Captcha: red white and blue.

Indeed, 'merica.
Oh... I remember that show! It wasn't "Cheaters." This show was either on MTV or VH1. But man, that was a guilty pleasure. I remember one episode where the jealous lovers saw the infidelity happen, got pissed and decided "hey, let's hook up with each other!" And they did.

You know, it might have been more of an ex test thing. I can't recall.

OT: ROFLS. This lady was foolish. Like seriously.
fairly certain cheaters didn't intentionally set people up to cheat, they just followed them around until they cheated.

Maury Povich did do the whole "set up a fake date and then film the ensuing sex" all the time though.

In the news today: Stupid people do stupid things, face consequences as a result. Experts say it is a "shocking" development.

I'm pretty sure that she didn't hire a PI, she just signed up for the worst dating service in the world.

Actually, scratch that, it just might be the best dating service in the world. Think about it, you get paid to try your damndest to seduce someone who is either unfaithful or has a paranoid and suspicous partner. It's brilliant!

I...the...logic...makes no sense. I though this type of thing only happened in sitcoms. If using entrapment has become a necessity in your relationship then I believe it was probably doomed to to begin with. I think both genders can learn a few lessons from this;

1. Don't be distrustful of your partner
2. Don't cheat on your partner
3. Don't mess with karma, karma will slap you

EDIT

Also what is with all the gender threads lately?

Dude, you have no idea, I used to think most women were normal until I was in a class where everyone of them except for one said that they wouldn't or didn't allow their boyfriend to have any female friends. I tried questioning them on it and it basically went like this.

me: So you don't trust your boyfriend?
girl: I do, I wouldn't trust the girl not to do something.
me: Guys are completely capable of stopping girls from making a move if they want to.
girl: Yeah but they wouldn't stop her.
me: Once again, you don't trust your boyfriend.
girl: No...I told you, I trust him.
me:...but...what? I don't even...never mind. You're right, guys shouldn't be allowed to have female friends and girls shouldn't have guy friends either.
girl: NO WAY! I should be allowed to have guy friends, it would unfair if I couldn't.

(this is obviously a summary but the argument was about this stupid. I don't think women are crazy but there is definitely something wrong with a good number of them.)

I was pointing out how quickly I could bring the full force of justified sexism to bear. And for that second one, I didn't want to think that woman believed she got knocked up by cheap porn, but, well, I've seen woman believe that watching Twilight makes them vampires, eating their own blood from tampons and making blood pudding to feed to their boyfriend.
...every time I think of that I'm a bit more than grossed out.
How is that `justified` sexism? Do their vaginas FORCE them to be idiots? No. Do other women deserve to be blamed? No. Sexism isn't justified.
Some people are idiots, because of their idiocy, not their sex organs. I've really had enough of having to explain this concept.

EDIT: In short, THIS

EDIT2: OP, I don't think people are `getting` your joke title

Sorry this ex-boyfriend turned out to be such ass, I guess that probably solidifies all your reasons for no longer being in a relationship. I can't even imagine why he would wait five years to do that if he was going to do something stupid. Definitely get a restraining order if you can, even though it's just a piece of paper it means that the next time he does something you have proof of his type of behavior if you think he would do anything like that again. I feel like whatever romantic relationships I have are no one else's but the parties involved, so if your ex isn't truly insane I would tell him to stay the hell out of my life and my business. ^.^
As for the tread, I find people in general get really jealous, I guess it's just an aggressive reaction to insecurity. Like most of the other women on this forum I would confront my partner to their face or simply end the relationship. And yeah, this lady was not all there in the head and her boyfriend is a jerk. As for mind games, I think that's a human trick, manipulation is completely universal and a person will use whatever works in my experience be it male of female. Most perceived divisions in behavior are totally cultural and related to our own biased opinions on how others act and our ability to tell when we're being manipulated. I see a lot of people not even realize when they've being mind F*****, sometimes you just have to really observe the people around you and what they're doing.

That can't be ALL women, but when those qualities are present, to certain degrees, and in certain numbers of people, then we can call them insane. Be always aware that this can work in reverse as well.
Until that's proven, though, we all have to accept imperfections and strengthen relations.

How did her brain manage to come to that conclusion, yet still be able to come up with the initial idea?

Also, there's a name for women like Honeytrap.
Hooker.
She's basically a hooker.

Which is why I found the need to edit in a disclaimer for my OP. I don't come to the off-topic section very often, only when I find a news story that's either funny or absurd (such as this one). Honestly I didn't know there was some kind of "gender war" going on around here, had I known I likely would have made the title different.

Yeah... it's kind of tiresome.
Now I have your attention can you change the url in the original post? You're only linking to the article linking to the article so a lot of people are missing the details (like that she thought he was cheating -and he was- in the first place and didnt just spring it on him like a crazy).
