For the sake of pumping some discussion value to this thread, this is the press conference I would make if I turned into my avatar.
"Hello, I'm CEO Bobby Kotick, and as of today I am canceling all future Call of Duty games until we find a way to make them fresh. Any future CoD game will be released every two years instead of the current game-per-year release. I also like to declare myself a fool for shutting the development of True Crime: Hong Kong two months before its scheduled release date; it was a promising game that was shut down before it was allowed to shine, and I hope that its developers at United Front Games hold no hard feelings against this company for our mistake.
In the following months, I will also push to add Dedicated Servers to Modern Warfare 3, remove any form of Digital Rights Management that is hampering the game experiences of our customers, and also drop prices for all Activision-published games by 15%; why they were so high in the first place I can't remember.
Lastly, I offer my apologies to the former members of Infinity Ward currently in Respawn Entertainment for my unfair behavior, and I wish them the best of luck in their new projects. Though we have reached a settlement, I am willing to give them the payment they had previously deserved before their termination from Activision.
I apologize for any wrongdoing or foolishness that this company and I were responsible for, and we will continuing publishing games with our customers in mind, rather than only our shareholders.
Sorry."
