Well, I would actually finish Junior year strong, go straight into PSEO, and actually finish all my credits on time.

I live in an Orwellian society controlled by nightmarish creatures with orange skins and hair that resembles those of an elementary school kid trying to look tough. Yesterday, January 18th 2011, I went on the Internet, one of our few escapes from the monotony that is serving our overlords, thing we can only do with extreme supervision. Against my very safety, and my family's, I posted a comment on a thread saying I would arise against the current government before they gained power if I were to travel back in time, as a subjective scenario. Alas, my calculations were wrong, and turns out that while they have not seized over world-politics, I am powerless against them. You might imagine how fortunate I am to see this thread now. Someone, anyone, go to January 2009 and warn people of the monstrosity that will be soon indoctrinating our children, you are humanity's last hope.

Work harder in school for one. I could have done a lot better and had been in a better position if I had just worked harder. Other than that I wouldn't do much different except for make eerly accurate prediction about other people's lives and get stuff that I new I liked earlier (like music I got into over the last 2 years).

Hmmm, sounds like Misfile to me. Am I still the same gender and the correct age?

Anyway ...

1. Write down everything I could remember, particularly stuff which would be useful to know for work, things that I could do with getting done earlier, and stuff which I could lay bets on to make money out of. My memory isn't THAT hot.

2. I'd buy the first out of the two ebay bikes I went to look at (the included cargo box and hotgrips would have been much more useful than shinier chrome), have signed up immediately for the full-license course after passing my initial training (so much time wasted from not being able to go on motorways, dear god; also I would have had more free time later each week when i really needed it), book a different holiday, and earlier (it was... an experience, but not one i'd eagerly repeat), and make sure I got something booked in for 2010 a lot earlier. Plus I'd ride certain suppliers at work a lot harder to get us quotes and full details of what would be required before work could start. More to let them know I wasn't cocking around than actually needing it, seeing as I'd remember a fair bit.

3. Also I'd put lots of money into stock in Cadburys...

4. And take my backpack with me into work instead of leaving it on the seat of the car that one time I had to park on a dodgy road and had no space in the boot... and mine & two other cars got broken into. I would also take a moment to find some way of electrifying the frame with 1000V of AC and hiding a camcorder inside to capture the moment - and the hood's face, in case he still made good his escape with the swag from the other two.

5. Take more time to see family members who I now know to be on their way to either death or creeping dementia in the interim...

6. Buy winter tyres and snow socks ahead of the big freeze this year :)

7. TWO TERA disks, fool. TWO. Not one!

8. Commute via junction 7 instead of 6 on the morning of the 20th. Or maybe pull a sickie, park up nearby, then get a good vantage point to see if the girl who ran into me was actually going to and doing what she claimed she was... Saving both a couple years of insurance lunacy, and satisfying curiosity.

9. Read my copy of Girl With The Dragon Tattoo BEFORE letting my mother get hold of it. By the time I got it back, Hornet's Nest had been and gone in the cinema...

Too bad it's all a little too late to stop me buying the car I'm in now (jeez, two years already?)... but, hey ho, it's doing alright.

I was a completely different person then. Suddenly waking up then with my current mindset...
I'd likely fail most of my exams for a start.

I'd just tell my parents I wasn't going to college, rather then dropping out.
Really hated having to do that...

I would need to get into contact with various important people I've met since then (through complete chance, if things were left alone I almost certainly wouldn't encounter them again).
I'd try and stop Stevan doing what he was doing a lot sooner I expect.
Might get to know Zack a bit better if I did it early enough.

I'd fix on my career choice a lot sooner.

Eh, it sounds like I could improve on everything I did, but in reality, I don't think the future that I'd be led to would be as good as the one I'm in right now.

Fix my freshmen year, fix my grades, and tell the girl I liked what I really felt... and call some friends and make a bet a oil rig will explode causing a major leak in 2010 xD

Probably overachieve like a bandit- I'll be able to consider the fact that I've just gained an extra two years, and that will be a good motivator. Besides, I'd top the class with my future-boy knowledge alone- so, even if I do slack off a little, I'm still getting some nice remedial study.

Not bug my parents about wanting to move back to Canada from Russia, only to fall hopelessly in love as soon as all the preparations to move are done, and it is too late to change anything. T_T

Play some PS2, illegally acquire guns so I can stop things like what happened in tuscon, make a shit load of money with future powers, stop Modern Warfare 2 from being made, stop my computer from breaking, and spend more time on girls and less time on games.

Tonight you go to sleep and wake up on January 18th, 2009. You remember everything from the future, but have taken over the body of yourself on that morning. What would you do?
March 3, 2009, my daughter died. If I had to go through the following two years over again, I would kill myself for sure.

I came home from work and spent at least ten minutes trying to decide if life was worth living... I am still not sure...

Curse the gods, because I have a few games on pre-order and I've been waiting long enough.
And I'd be back in school, and I just got out.

NOOOOOOO!

Well...

I could screw a lot of people over with my knowledge so that I go to college sooner. (And fix any fuck-ups.)
