Big deal; so did Teen Titans.

I think we know where that went.
HEY

.....Season 4 was awesome.

This news even beats Kingdom Hearts 1.5/2.5 coming to the PS4. Is it coming to Netflix? Please say yes! The last thing I want is for CN to cancel it again because of toy sales or appealing to the wrong demographic.

I saw chunks of it and it looked like a really well put together show, but I was turned off by it being canceled.

Now I have a reason to go back and actually watch it.

Woah. Almost forgot I had an account here.

...what did I want to say again? Oh, yeah:

YESYESYESYESYESYESYESYESYESYESYESYESYESYESYES!!!!!!!!11

I admit it, I had already given up hope, even after Netflix brought up the possibility of taking up season 3. It just had been so long after season 2...
But now we can finally get a season of glorious
Darkseid. And hopefully lots of smooching! Always been an important part of the show :>

I know, right? It's weird how many self-ascribed Batman fans completely missed the show's point as a love letter to the campy Silver Age. It also achieved the impossible by making Aquaman awesome.

I suppose it was the victim of bad timing. It debuted when DCAU fans were going through withdrawls, thus they were more likely to lash out at something they perceived as "kiddie" and "dumbing down" Batman. I firmly believe that, had it aired today in the wake of Batman v Superman, people would have flocked to it in droves. I think the public has finally grown weary of "DAAAAARRRRKNESSS! NOOOO PAREEEEEENTS!" Batman.

Not for me.

Silver Age Batman sucks back than and it still sucks now.

And even then screw Batman in general he's overrated.

Go read different Superhero comics already give Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, Flash and Aquaman's comics some love

Loved the first season but thought the second was utter toss. So hopefully the third season takes its inspiration from the first.

Then again I wouldn't mind if they just forgot that the second season existed.
Think we are on the same page here even though second season young justice still beats the pants off most other animation these days.

As someone who's been through the whole "they're making more of a show I used to like", I gotta advise tempering your expectations.

Oh, mister world-weary "I used to be optimistic like you once, but then I learned better." Whatever, dude. I've been through shit like that too, but in this case, there is no reason for concern at this time. We don't have very many details yet, but at the very least Weissman and Vietti are at the helm, which bodes well. You only have cause to be cynical when you actually have signs that things will end badly, otherwise you're just being a sad-sack.

It's less that and more managing expectations. If people get too excited, too wrapped up in the awesome version of the show that exists in their minds, then even an ultimately good show can feel like it falls short.

I've got the same worry about The Last Gaurdian. Excessively heightened expectations a good or even great game couldn't match.

The show has only been off the air for like, 3 years. What you're saying makes sense for a show made in the 90's, but a modern show that got revived purely based off of people buying DVDs and streaming it? No. Makes zero sense. You can literally watch every episode on Netflix right now. You don't need to concoct some rose-tinted nostalgic version in your mind.

Bring back Wally West and I might forgive for the second season.
Seemed pretty obvious to me that they were going for a "Wally got sucked into the SpeedForce and will be retrieved in Season 3" thing. It gives Impulse an arc for the next season.
Didn't Weissman say the Speed Force didn't exist in this universe?

Even I'm not the biggest Batman fan but he has a bunch of classic stories. There's a reason he's considered one of the best.

Because even the writers that writes for him only care about Batman.

I mean let me give you an example of how overexposed Batman is.

Superman At Earth's End. Quite Possible the worse Superhero thing to have ever spawned, but even in Superman's OWN comicbook, even in his own comic they still have to shoehorn in Batman:

Heck Superman in this very comic was trying to save Gotham City, as if Metropolis his own city never existed. The whole comic was in the Ruins of Gotham, Superman goes to Bat's Cave.

That is how overdone and prevelent Batman is.

Wow, one story. Batman isn't shoehorned into every story. Also the writers who have written for Batman only care for Batman? Grant Morrison has written for Batman, Superman, and Flash. He has even gone on record saying that Superman is his favorite character. Scott Snyder (writer of New 52 Batman and currently All Star Batman) has written a Superman story that was quite good.

Sweet. That's all I have to say.

As an aside this gives me hope i might see a sequel to Justice League: gods and monsters which somehow achieved the impossible of taking what i consider the lamest/most boring superheroes (wonder woman and superman) and actually making them likeable and awesome. Mexican superman ftw.
For batman haters, that films version of batman might appeal to them too.

Whilst on the wish list: bringing back batman beyond+justice league unlimited.

Yes to Gods and Monsters. Even I disliked its trailer, and ended up bloody loving it. The follow up shorts were great too.

For JLU and Beyond, ehhh. I think they both ended on a good note and we don't need new episodes.

Well "need" is a strong word, yeah it's true both series got a satisfying conclusion. But still I feel there's a bit of room for more Beyond at least, when we last left off in the epilogue from that JLU episode, Terry had finally become a grown man so really his career as Batman was actually just entering it's prime. Up to that point it was basically the adventures of teen future batman at the start of his crime fighting career, there's a good 30-40-50 years more of superheroing from Terry we haven't seen yet.
Maybe keep this idea on ice for when we tire of having to reinvent a new batman series that has to reset the clock for every new generation? Dunno maybe i'm just a sucker for continuity and i'm actually quite happy to see our heroes age, grow old, and have to pass the torch as time goes on.

Assuming our species doesn't die out, regress or dwindle due to all sorts of factors and that these superheroes are still popular, are kids in 200 years time really still going to be reading/watching a new origin story about bruce wayne in gotham?
