As some of you might know, my best friend is pregnant with twins

So, has any of the Escapist got kids/expecting? Any fond memories you'd like to share?

For those that don't, how do you feel about it all? Do you want kids? What would you call them?

Oh, and for anyone that would complain about the OP not posting. My fondest memory is also my most recent one. I was with her when she had her scan and I saw the twins and my heart froze in amazement

I don't currently have nor do I desire children, however if at some point that changes, meet the right person, we can afford having them, etc. I would want to name them something obscure and impressive. You know, name the son Rhadamanthys, the daughter Mordred... something no one else will name their kids.

I'm certainly not expecting any kids. If I had one, I'd call it Kid. Just to play it safe.

Why were you at her OB appointment?

Because I'm one of her closest friends and she wanted me to be there. The dad was there too. It wasn't just her and me.

A couple in my social group had a kid very recently, and now it's all they ever talk about. And that's fine, really. But all of the other people in that group now only have one subject for conversation as well. That's not fine. I really hate talking about babies.

I've never had kids and I don't want them, I'm still young, so that might change later on in my life.

No idea what I'd call a kid of mine.

Well I haven't got any biological children of my own, though I have a 7 year old sister named Rosie who's so much younger than me I'm effectively a third parent to her. Good memories? Well the best of all still stands at the first time I ever met her, when I came down the stairs as my parents brought her back from hospital, just a few hours old, and even then I thought she was the most adorable thing I'd ever seen in my life. And that hasn't changed for a moment these past seven years

I'm a couple of months off of being an uncle, which I'm quite excited for.

I'm gonna get the kid some hot-wheels as soon as he is old enough to understand what they are.
