The title says it all: Which 10 characters from MOBA games are your favorites?

I play mostly DOTA2, so all of my characters will be from this game. So, in no particular order:
[HEADING=1]Axe[/HEADING]

He is big. He is red. He is rad. The only true tank of DOTA2, who can insta-kill any low HP enemy.
[HEADING=1]Tiny[/HEADING]

He is really fun to play and his Throw is one of the coolest moves in the game. He is also the only character who literally grows from tiny rocky person to huge mountain. His only flaw is that he is quite ability dependant.
[HEADING=1]Sniper[/HEADING]

Please don't throw stones at me! I know that he is considered OP, but hear me out. Before I even started playing the game, I took a look at characters. And I immidiately fell in love with this one. He is a little grandpa in the world of knights, gods and demons. And he has a Sniper rifle!
[HEADING=1]Juggernaut[/HEADING]

One of the most entartaining characters to play. His healing ward, at its highest level, heals 5% of max HP of ALL ally characters in the area. And Omnislash is one of the most devastating Ults in the game (if positioned correctly). Plus, he is an honorable samurai.
[HEADING=1]Gyrocopter[/HEADING]

Just a litlle guy in a little wooden plane, who has the most annoying stun missile.
[HEADING=1]Crystal Maiden[/HEADING]

While being slowest character in the game (yes, slower than even Axe), she is one of my favorite supports: she has slow, disable and her passive boosts all allies mana regen.
[HEADING=1]Storm Spirit[/HEADING]

Hey there! I am just a jolly fat uncle! AHA! Can't catch me! HA! Get over here! BOOM! See you later!
[HEADING=1]Ogre Magi[/HEADING]

This guy (these guys?) are so much fun! His ult is a passive, that gives him a chance to multicast any of his spells. It's like gambling, only it's DOTA2.
[HEADING=1]Shadow Shaman[/HEADING]

He can turn you into a chicken. He can shackle you so that his allies could wreck you. And he also can summon serpent wards that can take care of both enemy characters and enemy towers.
[HEADING=1]Dazzle[/HEADING]

What's not to like about this guy? He is pink, he has a mohawk. Oh yeah, he can also make his allies invulnurable, heal them while harming enemies and also can also lower defense of enemies while pumping defense of his teammates.

So, what about you escapists?

I freaking hate Axe! I hated him in original Dota, and him even more now! I hate his god damn ape like face and his god damn battle hunger bullshit spell! Fuck off Axe!

Okay. Calm down.
Number 1. Bone Fletcher, Clinkz also known as Clinkz Eastwood.
<img src=http://hydra-media.cursecdn.com/dota2.gamepedia.com/9/9c/Clinkz.png>
My favorite and one of the best performing heroes. I freaking love this guy, I love that he's fast, elusive, capable on lane, can tank, and kill almost anyone in seconds with right positioning. He got one of the best skill synergies in Dota and playing him is like playing angry, little, fast-metabolizing rocket!

Number 2. Rooftrellen, Treant Protector.
<img src=http://hydra-media.cursecdn.com/dota2.gamepedia.com/1/18/Treant_Protector.png>
"A tree killed you! A tree!" How can you not like that guy? Treant experienced incredible amount of different tweaks and changes throughout time. Back at 6.20 or so versions he was freaking beast, capable of perma-warding the entire map. 2 of 4 of his skills were completely reworked and remaining 2 were tweaked numerous times. 6.79 kinda crippled him, but with good map awareness he can still save allies' ass and beat the shit out of squishy heroes with his incredible initial attack damage.

Number 3. Dirge, Undying.
<img src=http://www.indogamers.com/system/upload/media/pictures/4ff7b213e3b0b1341633043dirge.jpg>
While agree that Axe is number 1 true tank in Dota, Dirge, in my opinion, comes close second. Even though he can't deal real damage in mass fights, enemies must focus fire him if they wish to win. Leave him be and he will suck off your strength, heal his allies and amplify incoming damage just by staying in fight. And good luck killing him once you focus him. Oh yeah, and Tombstone, DO NOT UNDERESTIMATE how freaking powerful Tombstone might be.

Number 4. Banehallow, the Lycanthrope.
<img src=http://hydra-media.cursecdn.com/dota2.gamepedia.com/c/c1/Lycanthrope.png>
You wanna know my Lycan stats? 15 victories out of 17 games. That dude kicks ass, even with his butchered wolfs.

Number 5. Rigwarl, the Bristleback.
<img src=http://hydra-media.cursecdn.com/dota2.gamepedia.com/5/5f/Bristleback.png>
Probably one of the funniest heroes to play as. Just be sure to turn your back, keep spraying, and once they realize that chasing Bristle is more trouble than its worth, turn around and bash their skulls in!

Number 6. N'aix, the Lifestealer.
<img src=http://hydra-media.cursecdn.com/dota2.gamepedia.com/6/65/Lifestealer.png>
No other hero was as reworked as Lifestealer. Before his great change, he was the most agile hero and he had three passives and ultimate that was essentially BKB. He was second best Roshan killer in game. Now, he's the best tank killer in game. And he also thinks that player is in his head giving him orders.

Number 7. Viper, the Netherdrake.
<img src=http://hydra-media.cursecdn.com/dota2.gamepedia.com/9/99/Viper.png>
He was one of my favorite heroes back in Dota 1 and one of the first heroes I've mastered. And I freaking love Viper! He's universal and almost unbeatable on any lane. Oh, you pick Outworld on mid? Well, too bad fucker, Viper doesn't need mana to beat the ever living shit out of you, and he will outfarm you even with your increased attack. Oh, your carry bought BKB? Well, too bad fucker, Viperstrike will go through it and render you useless. Good fucking luck.

Number 8. Slardar, the Slithereen Guard.
<img src=http://hydra-media.cursecdn.com/dota2.gamepedia.com/7/7b/Slardar.png>
Carry, ganker, chaser, tank, initiator, detector and more! Slardar simply kicks ass.

Number 9. Lich.
<img src=http://hydra-media.cursecdn.com/dota2.gamepedia.com/8/86/Lich.png>
Who can stay on any lane, get more XP than other team, kill your squishy ass alone, and annihilate entire team in mere seconds? This guy.

Number 10. Demnok Lannik, the Warlock
<img src=http://hydra-media.cursecdn.com/dota2.gamepedia.com/5/51/Warlock.png>
"Have you ever seen this many demons?"

Wait what? Who the hell considers Sniper OP? He's squishy as fuck and once you break distance with him he's even more vulnerable than Drow Ranger. His laning is not so strong either because of his weak attack damage and no escape mechanism.
The only thing close to OP in Dota is Timbersaw and Huskar with Ghost Sceptre. And even Huskar was balanced with introduction of 6.79.

Well, he is one of the characters that non-pro players (like me, or great many others) have problem with. Mainly because of his "headshot" passive.

Seriously though fuck Axe. Every goddam game I have to lane against Axe and deal with endless Battle Hunger spam.

My list...

[HEADING=1]Sniper[/HEADING]

One of the easiest, most entertaining heroes to harass with. Requires sensible positioning if not outright cowardice, but the ability to cause mayhem from afar is priceless. His last hitting animation is arguably the best in the game, too.

[HEADING=1]Treant Protector[/HEADING]

Might have been #1 pre-nerf. Living armor from anywhere on the map is just so, so sweet. My favorite hero at arguably my favorite role.

[HEADING=1]Vengeful Spirit[/HEADING]

I always start out intending to support with VS and always end up semi-carrying because Vengeful Spirit is just too damn good. Super effective at almost any role in the game.

[HEADING=1]Keeper of the Light[/HEADING]

Soft as wet buttered toast and not much of a killer, but this guy can harass and push a lane like few other heroes, and like Treant he's an absolutely boffo support.

[HEADING=1]Shadow Fiend[/HEADING]

I feel like an utter noob with this guy, but I do NOTHING but win with him, and I'm usually hard carrying when I do it. Always seems to snowball ridiculously when I play him, and I end up right clicking their entire team to death. Fun!

[HEADING=1]Warlock[/HEADING]

Another fantastic early game harasser, solid team support, and this time with a powerhouse team fight ulti. Might be even more annoying to lane against than Axe.

[HEADING=1]Viper[/HEADING]

Lol right click. The lazy man's semi-carry.

[HEADING=1]Zeus[/HEADING]

My favorite Nuker. This guy always seems to do really well, whether it's me playing him or someone else. And he stays potent into the late game, especially if he gets even a little farm. Which he almost all does, the kill stealing bastard.

[HEADING=1]Crystal Maiden[/HEADING]

Really an underrated support and borderline nuker in and of herself. Team fight ulti is awesome when she can get it off fully.

[HEADING=1]Luna[/HEADING]

Game changing hard carry. If she wasn't so squishy and crappy early she'd be a lot higher, but she's unstoppable with even a little momentum.

Understandable, but it doesn't make him OP. Huskar with Ghost Sceptre was OP, because he was nigh immortal! You can't hit him with physical attacks, and his >90% magic resist made him almost invulnerable to magic attacks. And at the same time he was able to attack using his flaming arrows. In case of sniper, just ask for gank, or change your lane-up for more aggressive one. He is really squishy, and any combination of 2 stuns will make short work of him.

Like Ursa and Drow and Huskar and OD and plenty of other high damage hard carries Sniper is a pubstomp hero. Yeah, he's riddled with weaknesses, and is perhaps the easiest hero in the world to dive IF you know what you're doing and have any semblance of coordination. Which 99% of all normal level pub games do not. Most players just spend all day getting chain stunned and screaming "DAMN THAT SNIPER" at the screen.

Going to be a combo breaker and post non DOTA characters.

One of my favourite tanks, she has a dash, a cone taunt and a map wide ultimate which allows her to come to the aid of anyone on your team. All while having the best voice [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RVwGJFfLOlE] of all MOBA's ever.

Do I even need to explain? Whatever you need, this guy has it.

Huh. Suprised to see all Dota heroes so far. Welp, I'll add to that. Just five, because it'll get too long otherwise.

1. Clockwerk (see avatar): I really value initiation, and Clockwerk excels at that. But he's also a fantastic ganker, and a general nuisance. His first skill, Battery Assault, deals a total of 1200 damage at max level. For reference, that's more than an Aghanim's-upgraded Finger of Death. It's only 50 less than Lina's Aghs-upgraded Laguna Blade. And each tick applies a ministun, preventing some heroes (Naga Siren, Earthshaker, Zeus, etc) with slow animations from casting anything.

2. Disruptor:

This is actually my most played hero, and he actually just got a really nice (albeit hard to reach for a support) buff in an Aghanim's upgrade for Static Storm (with the scepter, the ult is increased to 7 seconds and silences items. Great for stopping BKBs). But the real reason I love to play Disruptor is Glimpse. Glimpse returns the target enemy hero to where they were four seconds ago, and the cast range on it is a stupidly long 1800 units. So a good combo on a mobile hero like a Weaver or Anti-Mage is to Thunderstrike them (a 400 damage nuke that deals its damage in four instances, while also providing vision of the target), wait for them to blink/shukuchi away, then Glimpse them back and drop Static Storm and Kinetic Barrier. It's an extremely satisfying feeling to kill that cocky Anti-Mage this way.

3. Brewmaster:

Brew is another good initiator, but mostly just a teamfight monster and good anti-carry. Blink in, Thunder Clap for the nuke and move/attack slow, Drunken Haze to make them miss 75% of their attacks, then ult. His ult splits Brewmaster into three spirits with their own abilities. You can stun one target with the Earth Panda (and Thunder Clap if you have an Aghs), whale away on him with the Fire Panda, Cyclone another target with the Wind Panda to remove them from the fight (and reapply Haze with the Aghs upgrade). All these abilities are on a low cooldown, so you can just keep at it as long as you're in ult form. He controls the team fight. Ton of fun.

4. Rubick:

Another great hero to have in a teamfight. Rubick is that classic "hero who steals other heroes' abilities". It's not a novel concept, but it's a lot of fun. I really value mobility on this hero, so I love to pick him when there is a Weaver or Queen of Pain or Anti-Mage. It helps you chase and really keep the pressure on the enemy. But you also have those opportunities to steal a game-changing ultimate like Enigma's Black Hole or Tidehunter's Ravage. If those heroes are foolish enough to not guard those abilities while you're a Rubick, then you have to take the opportunity to turn it against them. And man is it a good feeling when you can do so.

5. Storm Spirit:

One of the few carries I enjoy playing (I generally get bored farming), but Storm Spirit makes shit happen. If the enemy team doesn't draft a good silence or a bunch of disables, Storm is basically invincible. He can zip in, kill a guy, and zip out. And because he's an Intelligence carry, he gets utility as well as damage with his items (Orchid's silence, Scythe of Vyse's Hex, the AoE slow from Shivas). So the number of ways you can ambush the enemy grows as the game goes on. Mobility, utility, damage. That's Storm Spirit.

Every day I'm Juggerin'!
My fav carry in the game, bladefury is a free BKB and is stupid good during the laning phase, providing your support has some stun. His healing ward is essentially a portable fountain for HP regen, his crits are reliable, and his ulti will destroy anything 1v1 and makes a huge impact in team fights.

My favourite support hero, she needs very little gold to be effective, her passive is useful for pretty much everyone in the game, Frostbite is laning carry's best friend, and her ulti is great if you can position it right. Yes she's slow, yes she's squishy as hell, but stick with your carries and she's the best hero you want watching your back.

Like Crystal Maiden, he doesn't need much gold to get off the ground, probably the best disabler in the game, and trapping an enemy hero inside of Serpent Wards is probably the best thing ever :D

Slark is a brilliant solo offlaner, with the update his ulti is now completely undetectable, soon as you hit level 6, that cautious carry that likes to hide under his tower is now fair game for a gankin'. Dark Pact is brilliant for nuking damage and it's ability to purge most debuffs, especially Bounty Hunter's Track, and his passives are brilliant for keeping him the game for longer, both with health regen and ability steal.

Ooooh, that's hot!
Great lane support, great passive, can deal a shit tonne of damage very quickly, a bit more item dependant however. Still fun as hell.

I guess I'll throw out my favorites. I mostly play Dota 2, so pretty much all of my characters are going to be from that.

10. Bane. I dunno what it is that I like so much about this hero, but I have been pretty successful with him, and I have fun playing him, so I guess there's not much more to it.

9. Skeleton King. He's really not all that great of a hero (at least before the recent buffs), and I'm not terribly good at him, but having the other team focus you down only to respawn right in front of them is just too awesome.

8. Venomancer. You get to be a massive dick by spamming your plague wards and using your ulti at just the right time. What's not to love?

7. Tidehunter. Step one: get blink dagger. Step two: blink into the middle of the enemy team. Step three: press R. Step four: win.

6. Luna. Probably one of my most successful carry heroes. And dammit, I like her voicework, even though it's awful.

5. Ogre Magi. Okay, I'll admit, the only reason I have him on here is because I absolutely love their voicework. I just love listening to the two heads bicker with each other.

4. Lion. In case you haven't noticed already, I like playing support. And Lion is a fun support to play. Not much more to it really.

3. Bristleback. I had a recent Bristleback game where even though the enemy carries were super fed, it took the entire enemy team focusing me to bring me down. It's just so awesome being able to survive pretty much everything the other team can throw at you.

2. Dazzle. There's nothing more awesome than throwing out a last second Shallow Grave that saves one of your teammates, which ends up letting you win the teamfight. Also, he's pink. And everybody knows pink is the best color.

1. The best character in any MOBA is this sexy ************.

Skølldir from Awesomenauts. He's an obese space viking that specializes in punching things and has awesome theme music. What could be more awesome than that?

[HEADING=2]1. Windrunner[/HEADING]

"Tried failure. Didn't like."

She was one of my favourite heroes in DotA:A - the playstyle with her is just so...interesting - you need to harass enemies, and position yourself, often times manoeuvring around them to achieve maximum effectiveness - and occasionally you need to take the chance of letting them attack you and Windrun your victory. Now in Dota 2, she has the personality to match, so I like her even more!

[HEADING=2]2. Crystal Maiden[/HEADING]

"It's all fun and games until someone's frozen solid."

Great asset to any team, I'd say. And as proof, I have the best win/loss ration with her. It's just so awesome to have her - first of all, global mana regeneration aura which is always welcome, and then slows and immobilisations are quite good, too. The ultimate is so awesome when it works, it's just not funny (for the other team). And her voice acting is great, too, IMO. She's just all around awesome.

[HEADING=2]3. Outworld Devourer[/HEADING]

"Good news travels slowly, bad news has wings."

My favourite carry in the game. I am a fan of heroes with utility powers, so OD's banishment is quite my thing as well as the aura that allows my team to spam spells like crazy.

[HEADING=2]4. Rubick

"Let me try that!"

OK, what's better than having cool abilities? Having your opponent's cool abilities as well! And even better than that is having cool abilities to go with that. So yeah, Rubick is just awesomesauce.

[HEADING=2]5. Tinker

"Blinded you, with Science!"

I know I have a quote up there but damn it, I can just sum up why I like him with just one more:"You can keep your magic, I have laser beams!"

'NUFF SAID!

[HEADING=2]6. Clockwerk

"What time is it? It's killing time."

OK, frankly - the playstyle with him is just amazing. You need to force your opponents to make mistakes and also punish them for all of theirs. And throwing rocket flares across the whole map is also cool.

[HEADING=2]7. Dazzle!

"Dazzle!"

Right, if you don't know Dota 2 (or just DotA:A) - there is a hero called Abbadon whose ultimate makes him immortal for a few seconds. Well, meet Dazzle who is basically this, and more, for the entire team. I love the guy - so many times I've won fights just because my allies just. Wouldn't. Die. I usually like to build him items that make him sort of a travelling fountain - healing everybody all the time.

[HEADING=2]8. Elder Titan

"I broke the world, did you think I could not break you?"

Well, I don't know, really. What I like is casting Echo Stomp and Earthsplitter. Seriously - I just like casting those abilities, not necessarily killing with them, just casting (well, and hitting) is enough. That's all there is to it, I guess.

[HEADING=2]9. Timbersaw

"Cut cut cut cutcutcutcutcutcutcutcutcutcutcutcut!"

This was a new hero for me when I started Dota 2 - I missed him before. And then, I regretted it - Timbersaw just kicks so much ass! The voice acting is certainly of high quality, as well because he's a psychotic goblin terrified of trees. It...goes even better than I expected it to be. Also, he's like playing a different game - more of an ARPG than the more strategy-ish way most other heroes play.

[HEADING=2]10. Goblin Techies

"What's happening?"

The reason they are on the last place is because they are just not in Dota 2 yet, otherwise, that's my favouritest hero (or heroes, if you will) in the whole game. Despite their name and appearance, they are actually the biggest trolls in the whole game. For anybody who hasn't had the pleasure of playing the techies before, here is a quick breakdown of their skills

1st - a mine that is triggered by proximity and does a lot of damage (300 magical at first level). Also, it's invisible. Also, it damages buildings. Also, it never expires. Also, it's awesome. Here are two strategies that I've used often to great success in the past:

Works the best if you play All Random (since you won't be counter picked or anything and you can start right away, often not giving your opponents a chance to react). Try to start ASAP, then buy a scroll and lots of clarities - then teleport to one of the side lanes (doesn't matter much which one) and start spamming mines at the entrance of the side shop while chugging mana potions. OK, probably won't net you first blood as much now, but in pub games before the practice of buying stuff from the side shop was quite wide spread, so some heroes would just buy one of two things at the base, then rush to the side shop and get some extra money while the creeps come (even easier if you play 4v4 or 3v3, as everybody started with more money, and if EM was enabled, you also got more passive money). Anyway, point is - you'll have a lot of mines blowing up in their face if they move through there (so you can juke, if needed). My fastest FB ever was using this strategy.

2nd - a ward that sort of works like the mine, only it stuns instead.

3rd - suicide for massive damage (650 magical at level 1)

4th - remote mines - invisible, and you can detonate them when needed. Also useful for scouting.

10. Spectre. I dunno, something about killing people with spectre is just super satisfying to me. Ulting in to bad situations and daggering over a cliff is fun too.

9. Ayla (awesomenauts). Mainly for the theme music, but surviving with a sliver of health as a surprise Evil Eye demolishes someone is fun too.

8. Swain. For wading into a 1v3 and coming out with a triple kill and more health than you started with.

7. Shadow Shaman. Five seconds of surpression and the serpent ward party as well. Love catching that sneaky weaver/storm spirit and just holding them there as they die.

6. Crystal Maiden. Mainly for surprise shadow blade ults.

5. Sejuani. Tons of CC with enough damage to actually kill people to boot. Being on a pig is just gravy.

4. Cassiopeia. The one game in ten I do really well with her makes all the shitty games worth it.

3. Enchantress. Hard to kill, borrows neutral spells, and rains down spears of doom. Says fun things to boot.

2. Leona. Go balls deep or go home. Solar flare ganks are brutal.

1. Lulu. Adorable, versatile, and machine gun mode is too fun.

I know, I know, I play League and DOTA. You can pick your jaws up off the floor now.

EDIT: 11. Ancient Apparition. I have a laughably bad record with him, but god is that ult fun to use.

Okay... Well.. I guess I'll be the first do LoL. Been awhile since I played, though.

1. Draven.

Because Draven.

2. Graves.

This guy will always be one of my favorites, I think. It's just so much dashing into someone's face, hitting 'em with Buckshot and then ulting them to death.

3. Vayne.

More or less the opposite of Graves. Takes a lot of skill to get an early kill, but if you do it's pretty devastating. I heard she's been getting permabanned as of late, so maybe people started catching on.

4. Zed.

Underpowered (back when I played LoL), but I like this guy. It's fairly easy to dominate your lane with him, and if your team is pulling their weight you can usually pull out a win before he starts to suck.

5. Darius.

This guy is such a guilty pleasure. He's like Axe from DotA, only more aggressive, and his ultimate resets upon a kill. Fun.

6. Xin Zhao.

This guy's lots of fun too. I like to build him as a tank, and he's pretty much unkillable when you build him right.

Yeah, that's all I got. Sorry, not quite 10.

Eh, Ive got nothing better to do. Might as well, in descending order (and all from Dota 2):

Weaver.
One of the few rare carries that has an early game presence, excellent at having entire enemy teams chasing after him and still getting away and finding a kill or two along the way.

Invoker
Cast ALL the things! Plus, forge spirits + cold snap seem to be really good at turning an attempted gank into a doublekill.

Timbersaw
Oh, gonna pick five strength heroes whose healthbars go over two thousand twenty minutes in, huh. Thats cool with me.

Nyx Assassin
Making fragile supports cry is always fun.

Slark
Hit six, get a kill, be back to full health in ten seconds flat.

Sand King
One of those rare supports thats actually allowed to get money. Epicenters out of the fog of war cleaning up the entire team. Excellent stun, decent escape, and makes enemies explode to boot, whats not to like?

Bounty Hunter
Nature's Profit has nothing on this fella. Sometimes, you just want to drown in money.

Storm Spirit
Im over here! No, wait, over there! Zip, zap!

Pudge
Cant land hooks if my life depended on it, but its so much fun to try.

Puck
Puck out! I do hope you didnt need that ultimate to actually connect.

I wonder if there's a pattern in these to be spotted.

If Sniper gets his hands on a Desolator and any decent amount of attack speed and damage then he can kill an enemy before they even get close to him. Simply charging at him at that point is suicide (unless you happen to be Nightstalker).

I wouldn't say he is OP like Huskar for example but he can really do some serious damage. And he is the only hero in the game that can hit a tower from outside the tower range.

First game I played with Sniper I was 4 shotting weaker heroes by the end of the game. My attack speed had me shooting about 3 or 4 shots per second and because of the Desolator the more tanky heroes as well as the towers were just crumbling before they could even get in range of me.
