The Good:
- Got my first girlfriend, fell in love and "became a man"
- Had a great year at School
- Passed my Exams, got onto a great course in a decent University
- Had a great group of friends and felt really socially comfortable.
- Turned 18

The Bad:
- Had to change country to go to Uni
- Friends are now spread all over the place and I rarely see them
- Broke up with girlfriend because I moved, now I never speak to her but can't stop thinking about her.
- Finding it hard to make friends at Uni, don't really feel like I fit in.

Overall: Still the best year of my short existence.

The Bad:
Had to get glasses.
Now who says that's a bad thing? ;)
You know, I was actually thinking of amending that with "Though I think I look better with glasses, so I'm not sure that's really bad" while I was typing up that post. Had it typed out and everything, but I decided I shouldn't be vain, since I'm no prize catch either way. :D

well I dunno it's been pretty shit but here goes:

The good
-Finally got around to getting components for my new rig with the motherboard being the most annoying since it hasn't arrived yet.

-Having met my boyfriend and hoping to meet him throughout 2013 and discussing plans for him to move to my island.
-receiving my own treadmill to privately use and with an exercise bike and powerspin I don't need to shell out £30 a month for using the gym.

-Having finally come out and telling my mother I'm Bisexual and to my surprise she's totally supportive of my choice but I've yet to tell my stepdad but a lot of my friends know already.

The Bad

-Still no luck with getting a job here on my island and it's only getting worse for others with my experience going to complete waste and my knowledge not needed it's no wonder I feel hopeless in finding an actual job that will give me a proper clear purpose in life that isn't a desk job.

-Still being stuck at home with my folks is starting to become a bit of a joke now as I don't have a job and they do it's somehow given them the notion that I have to do all the shit they don't normally want to do and are too lazy to do themselves which means when I do get a home of my own I'll be doing the same shit they've hated and int he end I'll feel they got a free slave out of it which I don't like feeling.

-My motherboard for my new rig was ordered during the end of Sept by my room mate (Who I trusted to make sure it was ordered with my money since it was a favour)but for some strange reason it's estimated delivery time was 1-2 months and by Dec still no mobo and my roomie tells me I'm acting assholish for getting this mad (to which my other friends and I believe my roomie is in fact screwing me over and never made the order) and yet he doesn't have an Amazon invoice email but he does for all the stuff he'd ordered previously and only now I'm being told by him they have finally dispatched it but I'm giving both my roomie and the company till the 15th of Jan otherwise shit will literally hit the fan and if my roomie is caught out lying and having stole my money then of course he'll have to pay back and then get thrown out.

-My room mate is actually a friend from my college years who got kicked out by his mother over her choosing his bastard of a nasty stepdad (seriously the first time I met him he said "what are you doing in my chair gtfo") and he's been living with me since but he is quite lazy, has horrible hygiene, improper manners like farting and burping nearly all the time, sucking his thumb when he's awake and asleep as well as me pointing out his poor junk food eating habits and him arguing to a point where he neutralises the entire debate to the point where he gets to carry on doing the same shit that just plain pisses me off =/.

Also I think if he doesn't change any of himself near April I'm going to have to ask him to leave because he can be quite the asshole when he doesn't respect what we ask him to do and not do in this house.

All in all it's been a pretty shitty year apart from my boyfriend and gaming which has been great all around.

The Good:
I picked up a bunch of games off steam.
Became leader of a club after a week in being in it.
Finally got a room to sleep in.
Got more hats.

The Bad:
Mouse died ten minutes ago
Person I was after wasn't gay(can't say I had much faith in a relationship with her anyways)
Had to sit through controversies
Finally decided to pay attention to US politics.(It's really bad)
Forced to get a hair cut.

Oh started dreaming again. Even if the dreams are odd, guess that's good.

The Good
-Achieved a higher TER score and will most probably get into my uni course now.
-Got to see my dad after 15 months.
-Have saved enough money for my trip to Vegas next year.

The Bad
-No longer am friends with one of my best mates
-Broke up with my boyfriend
-Lost an awesome job
-Got another job where I work crap hours for crap pay
-Had my first car accident

So overall 2012 was a pretty crap year for me. 2013 is looking to be better though thankfully.

Good:
Savings have recovered from moving internationally and then paying extortionate rent in Sydney in 2011
Overqualified for my job but it keeps me active, I like it, and hell - I *have* a job
Son has been accepted to the school we wanted and they'll even pick him up from home to take him there (special needs kiddie)

Bad:
Too many Queenslanders in QLD (State of Origin is a terrible time to be in Qld ... when you're not a local)
Busy with work and family (again, special needs kiddie) so don't really have a life outside those two things

Overall:
Been a pretty good year financially. Good to get out of Sydney ... paid $450 a week for a 2 bedroom unit about 30 minutes from downtown - I paid barely $300 for a 2 bedroom apartment in Osaka about 5 minutes from downtown ffs. Now in QLD and I pay $100 less rent a week, and get an extra bedroom and a yard, and get exactly the same salary as I did in Sydney

Well 2 months off work sick wasn't fun. Didn't help that I was basically bullied by the management for it when I got back, although that's all over now.

On the plus side, I was able to learn to drive and get my first car this year, and I've been able to afford to move out of my mums house. To cap the year off I've also met the most amazing girl, and at pretty much just as everything else in my life was slotting together nicely.

Overall I consider 2012 to be a win.

The Good:
Got my very first job (pretty easy too)
Got my license
Got my first car
Lots of extra money because of the job
Completed my junior year of Highschool and started my senior year
The Walking Dead (Video Game), because I liked it that much

The Bad:
Went through a revelation that becoming a Video Game Tester was unlikely and not worth it made me seriously panic about figuring out what I was going to do with my life. Finally decided to be a Computer Support guy though.
Got seriously depressed early in the year because I couldn't find a job at the time
Felt like I wasted one of my last summer breaks of my grade school career because of my job
Mass Effect 3 ending wasn't....the best ending they could have come up with

Overall, it started off pretty bad, but it evened out and actually became a pretty nice enough year by the end of it.

The Good:
Married the perfect woman.
Wife stopped smoking.
Graduated university with two bachelors degrees.
Got my commission.
Didn't get the assignment I wanted. This is good because in hindsight I wanted it for the wrong reasons and would have been utterly miserable.
Doing training now that, while hard as shit, will make everything else in the next few years seem easy by comparison and make me very marketable.
Spec Ops: The Line

The Bad:
Had a really bad injury that side-lined me for a bit over half a year. Healed, but still dealing with it.
Being in a different state than my wife now and for a few more months.
My wife talks a big game about wanting kids, but sometimes I question if she's willing to get herself prepared for them and I'm starting to get resentful.

Overall: Shitty bracketed by total awesome. If it hadn't been for the injury, this would have been my best year ever.

The good:

-I finally did the 10000 x *too much* tests necessary to return to my degree.
-I got the best internship ever.
-Lost 20 pounds
-Overall better confidence in myself.
-Finally got up to speed with the 7th generation of gaming by buying a PS3 and having fun with it.
-Broaden my friend gap.

The bad:

-My cousin died.
-I have the 2nd worst roommate ever this year.
-Didn't manage to have a summer job...

The less bad, but still bad:

-The gaming community. You guys sure make controversies out the small things.
-Didn't manage to get *that* get girl. However, I'm pretty sure there's going to be another *that* girl at some point.

Overall:

Did a lot of stuff to improve myself, but still to work on other factors in my life.

The Good:
-Meet some really people in the Brovengers.
-Landed a pretty sweet sound design gig and am working on some stuff that I'm really excited about.
-Helping out with the Communicast and Failcast.

The Bad:
-Still am poor and not really going anywhere financially.
-Insomnia got slightly worse...
-... As well as my depression.
-Still single.

Overall, I really can't complain too much since the good off set the bad and I do plan on making some changes. If they don't work, then there's next year and I will make 2013 one hell of a better year than the last one. :D

There wasn't too much to say about this year for me honestly.

The Good

Went on a trip to Hawaii
Had my birthday
Got a bunch of stuff for Christmas
Saw some good movies this year
RedvsBlue season ten

The Bad

Still don't have a job
My depression/self loathing has gotten worse
Even more of a shut in these days
Still don't have any friends
Still single
Have given up on dating completely
Accepted the fact I'm gonna die alone
My self-confidence has dropped to the point that I can't even look in the mirrior sometimes
I barely talk these days to the point my voice cracks or get's weak very quickly

Overal

There wasn't much to talk about this year and I'm sure 2013 will be the same.

I'll admit that it was my least productive year to date. I can't say that I didn't try, so I have nothing to feel bad for.

Thankfully, there was a lot of awesomeness that went on that year to keep me in high spirits. After today, I'm really invigorated to try even harder and to make this year truly memorable.

Good:
My kids. Are. Awesome. They just are.
After being told my paperwork was behind, clearing it all up.
Having Christmas off for the first time since 2005. Watching the fireworks from my boat.
Seeing my abs for the first time in a loooong time.
Heavy weapons course.
Having a loving, secure and stable marriage with a wonderful woman.

Bad:
Finding a 6yr old girl hanging from her jump-rope, and the rest of that job.
Starting to hate, really hate where I'm at with my job.

Overall, I have no right to complain and must celebrate a truly wonderful year. Sorry if yours doesn't stack up but believe me, I earned this!

Good:

Managed to earn two diplomas in a year, one with distinctions, so I'm doubly qualified going into my chosen field, which is awesome.
Got to go to Singapore, which is an awesome country, despite the heat
Got my first blowjob, I guess it's something
First year I was able to drink legally
Drunk a lot of alcohol with friends

Bad:

Got friendzoned by a total of 3 girls, one of whom was the girl I've loved for 5 years
Lost a lot of sleep gaining diplomas mentioned above
Started to realise that people who I thought where my friends actually invite me to places cos I'm the final option
Still no job which of course equals no money

Pretty good year, no worse than the last, but it all balances out in the end huh? But I'm working to make 2013 better.

It started with three family deaths and ended with moving in to our own house.
So, ups and downs.
Bit meh on the media side of things though. Nothing really grabbed me, other than batman.
