The first 3 I haven't even bought (waiting for the inevitable Steam Christmas sale), and the 4th one isn't really a "must have" for me. Then again, I haven't been really excited for anything that's come out after Starcraft 2 (don't have a PS3 or XBox360).

I hate how 4 of them have/are coming out in the last few months of the year (nay, the same week even and this isn't even counting Battlefield, Modern Warfare or the Halo Anniversary, all of which I will be getting in due course)

D'you think some companies are missing a trick by not releasing a game in the three month summer droughts? If any of the ones I mentioned came out during summer, they would most certainly be either day one or first week buys. As it is I'm getting three of the above (yet to be released) games (buying, birthday and christmas) this year and I don't know when I'll bother getting any others, especially since I have a carefully balanced budget and stuff to do during the winter months. When I do bother to look them up, I'll probably fish around the second hand bins to see any deals, DLC and online passes be damned.

LA Noire - Yeah, McNamara was a dick, but it doesn't change the fact, that his studio made a fucking awesome game (minus disappointing ending).

The Witcher 2 - Brilliant RPG for those who like to think in combat, instead of just mashing one button. Judging from negative opinions on DA II, people want games like that. That's the game for you, folks.

Mortal Kombat - I thought it would be an easy nice little fun fighter, which would be a nice change of climate after playing either very complicated Tekken 6, or blinding fast BlazBlue. And that's what I got... Multiplied by ten. Awesome game.

Deaus Ex Human Revolution - Not as groundbreaking as the original, but still - engaging plot, lots of ways to reach your goal, very solid gameplay (both shooting and sneaking part). Great game all around.

Batman: Arkham City - I bought it today, so no comments so far, but I just cannot believe it wont be good.

I'm not including games I haven't played yet. Why would I? I expect to love Skyrim, Assassin's Creed: Revelations, and especially The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword. But I don't know that for sure yet.

And if I could count New Vegas' Old World Blues as a separate game, it would be #1 on my list.
