There is my normal self, and my writing self. Methinks he's a bit smarter than me. Probably better groomed.

Taylor Gooderham: Hello world! We just use different names. This one has a bit more flair to it.

My alter ego is called Marie-Bernadette Marston and yes, it was inspired by Youth in Revolt

Hey now buddy, I happen to like being an American... and if you don't like it, watch this video.

A good song, but I would advise quoting* the other person, so that they're informed of your rebuttal and can view it more easily.

And I don't even live in a town, I live on a road, with one other person. He's a jackass.

*Done via the quote button, on the bottom right of their post. The reply button does nothing, oddly.

I have an Alter Ego for each and every person I know, that's why I have many friends and few enemies.

It's ok, I was just telling you in case you didn't know. I've seen people ask questions and not get answers because the person had no idea.

I possess no other personality, no 'alter ego', no imaginary best friends or anything else of that sort; I simply have no need for them.

If I need to be someone else, I take every aspect of my personality and adapt it to fit that situation, throwing what I don't need into the 'spares box'. This way, I can be anyone to anyone.

Will Jack ever get rid of this?

He has a gimmick, some find it charming, some find it annoying. It should be left at that, yet it's brought up time and time again with threads like this.

Some people are indifferent, but others either shamelessly copy him or express their annoyance with him.

That's their opinions, and that's fair enough, but there's no reason to constantly bring the subject up. It just repeats the comments about how it's annoying, and I'd be surprised if Jack isn't completely fed up by it.

I'm not saying that people aren't allowed to have their opinions, or that they are wrong. I'm saying that when the subject is brought up, the same negative opinions are brought up again and again.

Repeating zombie apocalypse threads is less annoying than the Jack and Calumon talk.

Almost everyone on the internet is their own alter ego......

For example, I'm usually a sarcastic wisecracking bastard, but I'm so scared of the banhammer I'm forced to act like a Carebear...... Most of the time.

"Me and the Nazi version of me."
'Guten Nacht.'
"Yes he is a nazi."
'Amerikana.'
"Facist."

That's an alias, not an alter ego.

OT: I have 8 (or well, 9, but one doesn't talk)
Their names are Zack, Mike, Johnny, Eric, Lydia, Linda, Maria and Airia, respectively.

The guy that doesn't talk I've named Andrew.
Say hi everyone.

Zack: Hello
Mike: Yo!
Johhny: ...no
Eric: Hi everyone! I hope we can be friends!
Lydia: Hi guys! [Waves]
Linda: What do you want?
Maria: Konichiwa.
Airia: Shut up.

Andrew: ...
That's not what I meant. You'd be lying if you said your personality doesn't change when on the internet. It's almost expected to have a different personality.

This is my alter ego. Real-life Joe is fairly boring (the sort of person who stands in the corner looking uncomfortable at parties), whereas J03bot seems to be less so. The fact that I act, talk, and even think differently based on whether or not I currently have 'bot' appended to my name worries me quite a lot.

Although recently (the last year or so) I've been more like J03bot in real life, due to the more interesting/sociable nature of this... personality, I guess.

But everyone does that - we all act differently depending on who we're around; it's just a very pronounced difference in my case. (To the point people notice it, and refer to 'social Joe' and 'weird Joe' as entirely separate entities)

And no-one likes Drunk Joe. That's the personality I try to pretend doesn't exist.

If you mean who I talk to in my head, then yes. I call her 'H'.

H: .... Pffft. Go away.

She's a jerk :L
Sky quit judging H, her actions are perfectly understandable.

My alter ego doesn't talk to me.
