According to my dad and mom, I am Russian, Ukrainian, and Czech on my dads side and Irish, Polish, French, German, Austrian, and maybe some other European countries on my moms side. I should really look into it more.

German-Jewish background. As for people in my family, my great uncle was a rockstar during the 60's and 70's, but that's about it when it comes to famous people. As for who he was... well, he was a christian rock star, so I'm not exactly too keen on that association. >_<

I'm Icelandic.

Thanks to Íslendingabók [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Islendingabok] I can trace my ancestors by names back to around 900 A.D. That's just over 1100 years back.

1/4 Russian, 1/4 German, 1/2... Yorkshire Tyke.
As for famous people, possibly related to John Boynton Priestley, a writer born in Yaaarkshire. Chances are, we're related. Nice.

Pretty much 100% Dutch.

Although, from my father's side it's likely that there's some Indonesian blood, seeing as my grandmother had and my aunt has some remarkable facial features and skin tone.

And, if you go back enough, there's bound to be some German blood, too.

I don't really have famous ancestors, for as far as I'm aware.

All I know is that I'm half German, one quarter Hungarian, one quarter mixed European (aka, no fucking clue).

I also know that my great grandfather on my mother's side founded Amthor Steel (a pretty big business here in Erie, PA)

I'm a great many things. As for significance I am descended from the Count of Toulouse AKA one of the men responsible for The First Crusade. I am also related to Possibly a founder of the Knights Templar. Not fun having that taint upon my ancestry, but I also am descended from the opposing forces as well. I like to think of it as a little Templar-Assassin love.

At least half Irish, 1/16th Swedish, 1/16th Lithuanian. The rest is most of Northern Europe. Possibly one of my ancestors was Native American, but this is unconfirmed. Likewise the notion that my dad's side of the family is descended from Mary, Queen of Scots. Possible, but unlikely. Be pretty neat if it was true though.

Well, the Templars, despite being bastards, were also pretty badass. I figure if you're going to have rather villainous ancestry, they might as well be magnificent villains.

I know very little about specific people in my family tree one you go beyond my Grandparents. I'm (a very patriotic, how strange) Canadian but my ancestry is Mostly German, with a fair helping of Greek and some native American as well. All in all, I think such a strange mix makes me just a little crazy.

Father's Side - Scottish, Irish, British, Swedish, German
Mother's Side - Irish, "Dutch", French, Tsalagi (Cherokee) Indian

I think the true image of America is the Native American/European American combination...if I may be arrogant for a second...

Wait, how were the Templars bad and a "taint"? They have a rather proud history, were great warriors, and were martyed before a King because of how popular they became. How badass is that?

My dads side is french Canadian, and my grandmother is straight from England. Sadly though I don't speak french and have no accent.
