Your Best and Worst Gift This Year!

Best: toss up between new phone and new leather jacket (parents are being generous this year )
worst: not a bad gift, just poorly delivered. A 1950s book i've been looking at. Unfortunatley (and I can't work out why) it was absolutely soaked when i unwrapped it this morning...

That's the devil survivor remake right?Is it worth it for someone who bought the original?


OT: Probably The 3rd box set for Revolutionary Girl Utena that came with the signet ring(that I really wasn't supposed to get). Probably gloves,don't get me wrong they're great gloves but more suited for working outside and I prefer the thinner hand gloves for more dexterity

Worst: Most of the actual physical gifts I got are competing for that position. I guess I'll have to go with the 3-d Star Wars t-shirt, because it's almost an awesome gift (a nerdiness-asserting t-shirt! yay!) but then who the hell is going to just happen to have 3d glasses on in order to look at my shirt?

My best is a dual-present of both the FLCL anime on Blu-Ray and the 2 volumes of the Manga. (It may not be the longest anime/manga, but it's the most awesome thing in existence).

Worst present is a hand-made Bears sweater. (I don't wear sweaters, I don't like football, and it's too big).

My best was an IP annonimizer that gave my internet and address is New York. A great gift when your living in censored Germany.

My worst gift was a box of Dickmens. I hate marshmallow things

Best: a grey ex-army greatcoat. Perfect for when the inevitable snows come.
Worst: a pair of Rolling Stones pyjama bottoms.

The former being something I actually asked for, and the latter being something I don't think I would ever want.

Uh, which original? The first SMT game or the first Devil Survivor? If it's the former, then yeah, but if it's the latter, I haven't played the latter and am only on Day 2. If you have money to spare, I would get it just for Day Eight.

Sorry didn't mean to be confusing and yeah I meant Devil Survivor. When I have the money lying around I'll probably pick it up, Atlus' re releases are usually pretty good

Worst: None. I generally get nothing. This year is the exception.

Best: Easy, since there was only one present. I only had to do my usual cooking and work on the 23rd. No cleaning. Pretty awesome.

If I had to choose a "worst" gift, I guess I'd have to say the rechargeable battery packs for Wiimotes. Still useful, though.

Best gift, on the other one, was a first for me. A friend of mine wrote me a letter and explained, in detail, how much our friendship meant to her. Actually shed a tear about it. Quite literally NO ONE does that sort of thing for me, whether it's Christmas or otherwise. I've never actually felt an emotional connection from another person to a gift I've gotten. Probably the best gift out of any Christmas.

Now excuse me while I copy and paste this into a message to send to her and embarrass her a bit I think that's a good way to thank her.

Then, I got money, Deus Ex: Human Revolution, some other stuff... I don't really want to rank any gift as worst, it rather seems... dishonest, or condescending to me... but I'd have to say Half-Life 2, courtesy of Steam's contest (I also got Portal 2 from it, yay me), not because I dislike the game - I actually bloody love it - but because Ravenhölm makes me shit my pants.

Best is a tie between a phone from the early 20's (big wall mounted thing) and a Cavalry sword from the 1800's.

Worst would be an umbrella, nice but not as nice as other things.

Worst: I don't even know what it's called, but it's this headband thing you can wear various different ways. All I know is this pre-op transvestite bus driver who glares at people like they're ruining his/her day by getting on the bus wears one and I'm not a fan of it...
