Playing both the lead and rhythm parts at the same time in Guitar Hero 2. I managed to beat "Woman" (by Wolfmother) on easy. I had to strum with my knees.

I come up with different character builds in Dark Souls. All of these are builds I thought would be fun, but a couple are made specifically to see if specialization is possible, which, all credit to From Software, it is. I can think of three such builds of mine:
The first is a Dexterity build who specialises in Rapier-type weapons, which are scarce.
The second was a Strength build who focuses on Fist-type weapons and only close range pyromancy (Great/Combustion, Fire Surge, Chaos/Fire Whip).
The third, and by far the one I'm most proud of is my Mage build, which became an every stat build upon further research. This build uses all types of magic and the best sword in the game, the Greatsword of Artorias, which requires a decent number in the stats Strength, Dexterity, Intelligence and Faith. Those who have played Dark Souls probably see the challenge of this build, so to those who don't or haven't played DS, here's the rub. This build wields all magic and the sword at the same time. Which means, NO shield. I felt terrifically powerful using this build, and it was easily the most difficult of all my builds, and thus, the most satisfying.

That reminds me of my "rebellion" against everything and everyone that annoyed me in Skyrim. The thieves' guild questline is so littered with plot holes that you can almost get distracted from the terrible game design. But not quite. After finishing it, I killed my way out of Riften (or whichever city they're based in) and took out my frustrations on the Empire by going publicly ballistic enough to get a bounty of several thousand gold in every city. Speed runs mostly. Huge fan of speeding through Valve games, particularly Half Life 2, I just love the frantic bunny-hopping intense fragfest gameplay that much I'll try to run through it twice a year as fast as possible.
Also open world RPGs, Morrowind in under 30 minutes, Fallout 3 in under 90 minutes and New Vegas under 2 hours. Not the fastest times in the world, but they're fun to do if you don't care about going for records, to much reloading and second saving for my liking.

- I did a Tonfa run in Ninja Gaiden 2 while playing Master Ninja difficulty. Got a score of 39mil.
- Back when I used to do speed runs I would try to beat TMNT: the Hyperstone Heist in under 30 minutes (usually before school bus rolled up). Never managed to do it.
- I once could 100% Banjo-Kazooie in 3 hours. Good times.
- I unconsciously started a "Default Health Run" in Ninja Gaiden Black. I'm on the last chapter, somehow. Granted, I'm only playing on Normal, but I'll take what I can get.

my most impressive one isn't very original, but on one of my Skyrim saves I decided not to use any fast travel, except for the carriage rides you can buy, to RP the game even harder ya know?
so i find the talking dog outside... falkreath? i forget now, but i then realized it's a daedric quest and was going to be a long one. Walking everywhere on foot for that is so long and frustrating, but the dog makes an excellent invincible companion.
it's really fun this way because when you're walking to a city to drop off a quest you could come across a cave and decide to explore it and find a vampire den or something, it's just so much more... epic.
oh, i also attempted to play a "Legal Driving Whenever Possible" Run of GTA: SA back in the day. that.... did not go well.

I didn't impose this onto myself, but I esentially did a speedrun of Dead Space 2 on my first playthrough. It's a fun game, especially after playing the first.
Or I guess another self-imposed challenge could be considered I finished Dead Space 2 with JUST the Plasma Cutter. Same with Dead Space 1.

Megaman X5. I must have played that a hell of a lot when I was a kid. I was able to beat Sigma with every armor. Can't do it now though. Back then, I think I ran the entire game without losing a life.
I played some games of Company of Heroes with my bro against AI players, but we could only build infantry and couldn't use any active commander abilities (like artillery strikes and such). Since they AI would still spam tanks and everything else, it's pretty rough. Had bait squads to run up and get a tank's attention while others come from behind and toss sticky bombs on the rear. Casualties were bad but we pulled it off and it was fun.
I also remember melee/unarmed focused characters in Fallout 2. That game had such satisfying and brutal melee attacks. The animations, sounds, and the flavor text just made it awesome. Eye jabs, arm breaks, nut kicks.. Not much is better than bashing a Raider's junk in with a sledgehammer or crowbar. It'd was hilarious if you equipped your party with all melee weapons to, the way they're all running around stabbing, slashing, and taunting. Good times.
That's when I discovered that even with 10 strength you could lose the arm wresting match with that mutant in Broken Hills. Should never have made that bet. Woke up the next day with a sore ass and a ball gag.

One time when I was playing wow we tried to do For the Alliance with 6 people. You may ask did we get it? Mostly it was the WoLK to Cata patch Tharll wasn't there. But other then that it was easy as hell.
I did a stealth/no-kill run through Deus Ex: Human Revolution, the only game that I ever played on the hardest available difficulty setting (which is, ironically, easier if you do stealth, since the enemies' perception isn't influenced by the setting but the experience gained is).
Also, while I usually like to play co-op multiplayer games in the same room with my brother and a couple of beers while chatting marrily away while doing so, we decided to play Portal 2 without talking and using only the in-game pointers for communication. Worked wuite well for the original campaign, and is still fun in the addon.

The only real bit of sequence breaking was finding the initial route to New Vegas that didn't follow all around the normal route but also was safe enough to actually survive at stupidly low level.
Then it's just straight main plot quests that you need to do for Mr House. A bit of fore knowledge is pretty powerful to make the quests reasonably easy.
