On Warhawk, against a jetpacking enemy who was at least 2500ft away (I got the trophy for it). Could barely even see the guy and he was moving around in all directions, making it just that much harder to hit him. Took all 7 shots from the weapon but I finally nailed him on the last one.

Dunno if this counts, as it has more to do with the game engine, but aiming (with a sniper) at a guy in a turret on the other side of the map, swiching to pistol, and taking him out. Turns out he was the last guy alive...
Was doing an AWP map, and I suck at AWPs. Randomly walled a guy while totally missing the guy I was aiming at. My favorite.
Of course I've gotten the double kills with 1 shot, gotten 6 kills in a span of 8 seconds with an EBR, etc.

Heavy however is harder, if you miss, everyone hears you, if you hit, your timing is awesome and you are lucky as hell.
Anyways, my best sniper headshot I can think of was when a scout was in the middle of my face and I tried to shoot him, then accidentally shot a medic (with ubercharge O_O) in the head, I was like "WTF?" then died. It felt epic. (The reason I knew it was a uber medic was because I got the achievement.)
Got a headshot through the gap of the roof of 2Fort's roof on Team Fortress 2 once. On a Soldier, I think.

Best sniper kill I've personally seen was done by a friend on Left 4 Dead 2. Different friend, not the epic sniping one.
Not sure if it was a glitch, lag issue or maybe both, but he got a headshot on a Boomer and it didn't blow up. Even though it was a finale, we took the time to just shoot the body over and over again. Because c'mon, how often do you get to shoot intact Boomers repeatedly?

Racking up a fifteen kill streak in MW2 only sniping and immediately after the match getting hate e-mail from one of the guys who kept running into my field of fire over and over, while a second referred to me as a "***** ass sniper" between rounds. That much hate just means I'm doing my job right.
As for Sniper Playstyles I always felt there were two viable ways to do it in FPS.
1. Find a defensible sniper nest, fortify your position, and be prepared to fight off all comers after they clue into where you are. It's not easy, but if you can capture an enemy weapon off of the first person who comes in after you, you'd be surprised how well you can hold up if you're wily enough.
2. Closer to a traditional sniper, stick and move. Find a position, get a kill, maybe two if you're feeling lucky, and move on to a new position before they come to root you out. This requires a better knowledge of individual maps because it helps to know all the good sniping spots. But it comes in handy in games like Black Ops if you don't want to use a suppressor and have to double tap everyone to get a sniper kill.

Slugs travel faster than sniper bullets too and have no bullet drop, which is weird, making it easier to take out UAVs.MR T3D said:

5 for 1 on Highrise in Modern Warfare 2. That spawn shot through the windows is my favorite ever.

Bad Company 2. I was covering a friend who was rushing up the side of an enemy position to take out an M-Com position. All of a sudden an enemy pops up and is pretty much a split second away from blasting my friend apart. This was at very far range, I could barely see him. But my friend told me over voice that he saw the enemy in the corner of his eye and knew he was going to die. But turned around and lolled when my round splattered the enemies brain allover the wall.
Im awesome at sniping. Although I dont do it very often as theres usually a lack of medics,assaults and engineers. Due to all the retard moron assholes who think its cool to sit on 1 edge of the map pegging themselves rather then actually contribute to the team.

Leapt from my vantage point and fired a random shot in midair. Not even scoped, still hit someone and killed the unlucky bugger.

Day of Defeat, playing 1v1 with a RL buddy of mine at a LAN just to break the monotomy of WC3 and similar. Dunno the name of the map, some sort of village area I guess. I had a Springfield, he had an MP40. I walk down this long street, see bullets start flying past me from behind and quickly turn around a corner and go prone in the middle of the road around said corner. I scope in, aiming at where his head would be if he decides to come around the corner in crouching position. Instead he comes running and I twitch as I get the crap scared outta me and hit him square in the nuts, ending up killing him. We still both laugh at that and how painful that must have been to the nazi. xD
