The Hobbit...oh, wait...that's a movie...
Uh...Doctor Who. Nope, hold on, that's a TV show.
Hmmm...how about Sherlock? Oh, no, that's a TV show too...and not even guarenteed to have anymore.

Honestly, since being in college, I don't really follow what's coming out in the video game world much anymore. Maybe...Man, I really don't know.

Thing is, most of what I really want hasn't even released in Japan, so it's got a ways to go before I can play it, if it is even brought over here.
Sherlock is basically a TV movie series. I remember when I started it up on Netflix a bit past midnight once, thinking it was the standard "long form" 45-50 minute show. Then it was was around 2AM and I was thinking, "For fucks sake, when is this gonna end?"

Is that a normal thing for British TV?

I'll answer this question again because I like typing.

1. Guild Wars 2
2. Journey
3. Botanicula
4. The Last Guardian...pretending it's coming out in 2012 :<
5. Uh...Project Draco. (See same excuse for putting it on this list as above.)

It used to be The Last Guardian 'till Fumita Ueda bailed on it.
He's still working on it, just doing freelance work instead.

What are the five games you are most looking forward to so far this year? Of course it could change down the line, but just games that are fresh in your mind that you know you're gonna want.

For me it's (in no particular order)

1. Bioshock: Infinite
2. Persona 4: Ultimate
3. Pokepark 2
4. Devil Survivor 2
5. Persona 4: The Golden
I don't know if the P4 games are gonna get localized this year unless you still live in Japan/plan to import.
If they do get localized this year:
1. Grand Knights History
2. The P4 fighting game
3. Dragon's Crown
4. P4 PS Vita port
5. BlazBlue Continuum Shift Extend

From what I've seen, it's not uncommon for British shows to run 45-90 minutes each episode, and often they are only six episodes to a season (or series, as they call it). Most of the short stuff I've seen have a total running time (after commercials are removed mind) of 60 minutes.

Sherlock is a bit unusual in that it's only three episodes to a season, and they are 90 minutes. That is not unheard of, but not normal per say.

Edit: Also, by American standards, yes, it is a TV movie series. By British season/series standards, no, it's a season. Completely normal to have only like...four or five episodes a season, or series.

I'm not worried about them because P4: G is supposed to have a Spring/Early Summer release, and that would give it plenty of time to be out by the end of the year (worst case scenario, early next year)

and P4: U is a fighting game, which are notorious for having Japanese and Stateside release dates incredibly close to one another, so I actually think we'll have that one by the summertime.

I hope you are right. I'd love to get my hands on that fighting game and I'd have a reason to buy a Vita this year.

hmm, lets see. no particular order here, but:

PC
Operation raccoon city
Diablo 3
Metro: Last Light
Kingdoms of Amalur
Torchlight 2

Vita
FFX HD
Gravity Rush
Uncharted: Golden Abyss
Blazblue (vita)
Persona 4

fine, shoot me, i picked more than 5, (unless seperate system lists are allowed). i can't be bothered refining it down. i'm not to any particular degree specifically looking forward to any of these the most right now. getting overly hyped makes the days till release go slower.

oh, and if A Sod Lurks get's a release for pc i might pick it up.

Hitman: Absolution and Mass Effect 3. Nothing else has interested me that I can recall (unless Thief 4 is coming out in 2012).

ME3
Bioshock Infinite
GTA5
Paper Mario (at least I think it's this year)
Luigi's Mansion 2

Once those last two are getting closer I'll finally get myself a 3DS.

And Alan Wake: American Nightmare, though since its an Arcade game, I didn't really count it.

Hmmm.

1. Bioshock Infinite.
If they can keep the level of personality in the characters, particularly in Elizabeth whom I already really like, just from the Demo. I do feel that the set pieces displayed in that video simply cannot continue in such scale the entire game, but if they can keep the character so lively...Also, anyone else really like the addition of a TALKING main character in a Bioshock game?

2. Tomb Raider.
Having only seen the pre-rendered trailer, and realizing full well its potential of being a bit of a mimic of Uncharted, I'm still excited for this title. I already see the potential in a connection with this Lara and hopefully, the game can follow through.

3. Borderlands 2.
I only played Borderlands 1 on 1 player and a lot of people told me that I was missing out. Perhaps they were right, but let me tell you this...I adored Borderlands.I hope they bring back Lilith, although I think I have heard to the contrary, and I hope they expand upon the asburdist humor that was sprinkled all too thinly over Pandora.

4. Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning.
Only heard of this about three days ago, and IGN's backing of it sounds a little more like whining or pleading - and has done a lot to turn me off of it. Also I find myself not really liking the idea of being able to swap out your skill points, rebuilding your character on the fly as it were. Still, it looks pretty tight (even with it's WoW graphic design) and I'll be keeping my eye on it.
By the way, did anyone notice that the IGN summary of the game uses the word UNDERPINNED twice in the space of a paragraph? Not trying to be a dick but that was really jarring for the eyes.

5. Mass Effect 3.
Now, I loved Mass Effect. I ADORED Mass Effect 2. Why can't I muster up excitement for this one? I'm 90% sure that when I stick in my Xbox I will fall in love anew, but I don't know...it's like all of a sudden I don't really care about it anymore. Still. It's Mass Effect. So yeah, I'll buy it.

Well that's it for me.
