That's exactly my point.MaxTheReaper said:Srsly dawg.Xorghul said:This. I mean, what the point?MaxTheReaper said:I don't even celebrate my birthday.
No parties, no presents.
"Woohoo, I have successfully survived another year! I am god, baby!"
Not quite.
Yeah, yeah, I know; you've already told me. But to be fair, you said you'd die before you got to be my age, so you'll be dead soon as well.MaxTheReaper said:Good lord, you're old.twistedshadows said:Oh man, I'm turning 22 this year. When did that happen? Time seems like it's sped up.
You'll be dead soon, you know.
I seem to find myself doing that as well. My own birthday doesn't seem all that important but I do love to celebrate my friend's birthdays.Monkfish Acc. said:Plus, I don't really see the point in celebrating another year survived.
(This only applies to me, for some reason. I celebrate other peoples birthdays like nobodies business)
Really? I find that hard to believe, even if you don't care about your birthday, you must realise in advance that its coming up, unless you never look at a calander.Vern said:It happens after awhile. I stopped paying attention to my birthday a few years ago. It's always surprising when I get a call from someone saying "Happy Birthday!" and I respond "Really? Huh...".
That sounds like a much better reason to celebrate than the standard "I was born X years ago today".WanderFreak said:I stopped celebrating once I realized I was basically celebrating the fact I hadn't gotten myself killed for another year.
I have a good feeling about next year.
Actually i did exactly this this year, I only realized 4 days before my birthday and purely because someone commented on my only being 15. I did know that i was soon to be 16.. i just didn't realize how soon hehFragamoo said:Really?
