So there was a thread earlier that inspired me to start playing a game on here. So think of this as a casting call. You name a comic book character and who you think would be best to play them in a movie. I mostly encourage people to list characters that have not made it on to film yet, but I won't fault anyone for listing people who they think would be better. I'll start off by listing a few random ideas, and I'll come back with some more later. In the mean time let's see what you got.

Arron Eckhart as Hank Pym - Ant-Man, Giant-Man, Goliath, YellowJacket

Ryan Reynolds as Danny Rand - The Immortal Iron-Fist, Daredevil (temporarily)

Sarah Carter as Cassie Lang - Giant Girl, Stature, Titan, Stinger

Bruce Willis as Ted Grant - WildCat

Warren Beatty as Alan Scott - Green Lantern, Sentinel, White King

Mark Hamill as Jay Garrick - The Flash

I thought Ted Turner was Captain Planet. *Snerk*

Anyway...

I suppose I'm not a huge comic fan, and a fair few comic people that I do enjoy the exploits of have already been represented. No problems for V (V For Vendetta), for instance. However, I would shotgun all of Hollywood and kick out Keanu Reeves as John Constantine (And it's pronounced TINE, 'cause it rhymes with FINE.), pretty much in favor of...oh, I don't know...A REAL ENGLISHMAN?! Seriously, how do you fuck that up. Is it so hard to find a smarmy blonde guy with a British accent? Morons...

But...hmmm. You know, Neil Gaiman has been doing us all a good spell in the movies lately. In lieu of a grand selection from me, someone find me decent set of actors for the seven Endless, from The Sandman series. That's actors for Dream, Death, Delirium, Desire, Despair, Destiny, and Destruction. Don't know what I mean? Look it up!

You're forgetting Kurt Russell as Captain Planet.
I thought you hated the idea of Kurt Russell Captain Planet.
I don't hate the idea of Kurt Russell as Captain Planet. I hate the idea of Captain Planet. Considering that Kurt Russell has the mullet and the facial features to pull off Captain Planet (though an old, grizzled one), he would just need a lame costume, hair dye, face paint, and a good bit of excercise. He fits the part physically and I can't help but want to see the paradox of someone as awesome as him play a character as lame as Captain Planet. I have a feeling that it's effect would very much resemble the introduction of matter to antimatter.

Stephen Hawking as Professor Xavier
Stephen Hawking is Professor Xavier. The only differences between the two is that Stephen has hair and can't talk.

Replace that guitar with a hammer, and you've got yourself a mighty fine Thor

Right when I read that I immediately thought of Jesse Spencer, the actor that plays Dr. Chase off of House. Technically he's Australian, but that isn't the point. That took half a second to come up with. There's just no excuse...

I figure I'll add some more DC ideas to the board. starting with three Batman villains.
Then I think I'll follow up with a few DC superheroes... And here... We... Go.

Jeffrey Combs as Doctor Robert Kirkland Langstom - The Man-Bat

Rosario Dawson as Selina Kyle - Catwoman

Adam Baldwin as Rick Tyler - Hourman

Tricia Helfer as Jesse Belle Chambers - Liberty Belle, Jesse Quick, The Flash

Scarlet Johanson as Power Girl - Karen Starr, Kara Zor-L, Karen Starr, Kara of Atlantis[/b]

Oh and on a different note, do you have any idea how hard it is to find an image of Doctor Langstrom in human from? I found three from the animated series and only one from the comics, and sadly it was too small, fortunately the cartoon Langstom looks decently enough like his comic counterpart, for me to get lazy.

Bruce Willis as Wild Cat is fucking ace. He'd have to put on a bit of Brooklyn like he does in Die Hard, but yeah, good spot.

Tim Roth or John Cusack as Spider Jerusalem...this may sound freaky, but they both have the talent and head-shape for it.
Warren Ellis himself has said that he can only picture Tim Roth doing Spider if they were to make a film based on Transmetro

Actually i really think he would be great. If anything that image i put up shows they have the same chin. Also I think Bruce can pull off an aging boxer rather well. This is assuming that they play WildCat as a serious character as opposed to just some over the hill old man shaking his cane at people yelling at them about how nothing is as good as the old days (etc etc)like they so recently did on Batman: the Brave And The Bold. (Damn that episode was painfully bad.) But anyway if anything, Bruce's more recent films show that he's still an unstoppable bad ass and dispite his age he's just getting what seems to be bigger and more muscular.
