Ok, my dad recently had the brilliant idea to jack with my computer a little bit ago. So, when I get back on it, I realize the speakers don't work. I went to the back of the computer and found the cord that wasn't plugged in all the way.

I fixed that and it can play music from Windows Media Player, but I can't get any sort of online video to play with sound (and it did just fine before).

So, does anyone know what might be wrong and how I can get it working again? -_-

EDIT: Ok, I'm not really sure what I did to fix it but it's working again now. I did the right click on a video, and unchecked "Enable hardware acceleration." I have no idea what that means, but it worked for me.

Anyway, for new discussion value...
What's the most random/weird computer problem you've ever had?

Nothing to do with your jack. Try your Flash player settings. Right-click on a YouTube video to bring them up.

Go into control panel-hardware and sound (I'll assume you use Windows) and make sure your normal audio output is set as your default? This sounds weird to me though...

Pardon my dumb question; I'm not really computer savvy, but where would I go to access my flash player settings? And what would I be looking for?

Sorry. ^_^;

Right-click in a youtube video or any other flash-style window (like a flash animation or game). A menu should come up, one of the options should be "settings". Check for some audio settings. Also make sure your player isn't muted or anything obvious like that.
