Say you're the head of a publishing company, a good one. You get the rights to work on a game that's abosulutley friggin huge. Eventually, you realise this is a project too big to be done by one in-house studio, so you decide to hire a bunch of studios to work on it, each one working on a different part of the game. Which studios would you pick to make it, and what parts of it would they work on?

Lab Zero (Skullgirls): Engine and Coding
Visceral (Dead Space): Art Direction
Yager (Spec Ops: The Line): Narrative
Arc System Works (Blazblue): Voice Acting
Bungie (Halo): Marketing and Community Management
Telltale (The Walking Dead): Character Writing and Post-Release Support (DLC, patches, etc)

I instantly remembered this comic from Stolen Pixels.

I agree with most of it, though I would add Vanillaware Ltd. for Art Direction (NOT character design, let's avoid that)
