I'm not surprised. It is a kind of novelty die. Basically a ball with a single pip painted on.

Mostly 6 sided, as Shadowrun uses D6's exclusively, but the other D&D standards do abound. (d4, d8, d10, d12)

I gifted my girlfriend a small, sterling silver D20 on a necklace. And I have a couple of oversized and miniature d20's.

D6's in a box, cause there's loads of them. The other ones are chucked together in a felt bag which never leaves my gaming materials.

7. Do you have any superstitions concerning your dice? This would include always having the highest number face up and jinxing.

I have a couple "lucky dice", but that's not so much superstition as it is a suspicion that they're poorly weighted and therefore produce more natural 20's than randomness would dictate.

You don't, and I don't believe in that "nobody uses my dice but me." thingy either.

10. What is the tallest/most creative dice pyramid you have ever created?

If you have handfuls of D6's on your gaming table and horribly slow players, it becomes to tempting to start building away... Too bad that building archways with d6's is too hard.

11. Any comments on your dice in particular or dice in general you would like to add?

Look up "The Dice Man" by Luke Rhinehart. It concerns psychology and dice, it's good stuff.

Ten (half) of my dice are a marbled white/grey with black numbers. No one touches these but me.

I don't honestly believe the dice will be jinxed if I let others use them, I just prefer to keep them to myself. I might believe that if my friends handle my dice and I then get bad rolls that they jinxed them, but I would just be justifying a coincidence with confirmation bias.

9. Do you have any good advice to "un-jinx" dice that have suffered that terrible fate?
I have been known to repeatedly roll my dice until they "feel" right, if I am concerned they are somehow wrong.

8. Everyone in the group has the lucky 2d10s. They were the worst set to use in your first gaming session, so now they've rolled out all their bad rolls. The warm dice thing was started recently, if dice give bad rolls we microwave them into behaving (or possibly to melt them so they weight down).

9. Let them roll out their bad rolls on minor enemies, so you'll get all the good rolls on the bosses.

10. We managed to stack 4d10s together once, it collapsed before the 5th got put on.

11. Dice dislike humans for throwing them around, so they will bide their time and wait. Then the moment the space marine starts charging, it's guaranteed half the guns will jam and someone will accidentally summon a demon. Because the little bits of plastic hate us.

ah, the ole d1. its when you drop a marble on the table, wait for it to stop rolling, then look up and in a disappointed voice say "I rolled a natural 1." A spin off of that is when you cant fail on a skill check, even on a 1, so you roll the d1 and say "I pass."

3. I own many random dice. Most of the dice Iv purchased have found their way into communal dice bins, and been replaced by random handfulls.
4. I have standard DnD dice. d4's, d6's, d8's, d12's, d20's, and percentile dice.
5. I have an over-sided d20 with letters. I think its from Scategories. I call it "the random name generator."
6. I keep my dice in a Bacardi Reserve bag.
7 & 8. Nope. I have a friend who doesn't let anyone touch his dice tough. Bad juju I guess. If the DM touches his dice, its the touch of death, and the die can not be salvaged.

10. Nothing special. sometimes I stack random dice like a totem pole until it topples.
11. I like to buy a new set when I roll a new character. I only have one in tact set atm. I got red dice for my blaster sorc, purple dice for my bard, yellow dice for my beguiler, and blue/gray dice for my "hunter of mythical beasts." Whenever it was time to roll treasure I would use the yellow percentile dice. I would give them to the luckiest roller of our group and say "time to beguile up some treasure." I suppose that is a superstition, but to me it was more of a tradition.

7. Not a superstition as such but certainly if I'm playing with people I don't know then I have to hold one of my dice in my hand all the time. It's a nervous thing, I feel better if I have something to fidget with.
8. I just roll them slightly under my hand, mostly to hear the tapping sound.
9. Sometimes if I'm being ultra superstitious I whisper to my dice and ask them not to fuck up for me.
10. I have never tried that.
11. I always find it interesting when I show my dice to non-gamers. Even if they don't get any of the other things I do or care about they seem to understand something more tangible and ordinary like that and are willing to concede that, yes, okay, a twenty sided dice is pretty cool.

5. Unusal Material? no. Unusal shapes? no. dice are based off standard 3-dimensional geometric shapes. Most of my DnD dice I purchased with a specific color pattern, grey with white/black/yellow swirls to help identify my dice from other peoples. And a few MtG dice I have have a symbol of an expansion in place of a "20".
6. I keep them in containers with my MtG cards. The boxes that come with special box sets.
7&8. I havent noticed specific dice becoming jinxed, that usually resides with the individual rolling. If anything Dice are neutral and reflect the luck of the person currently holding it. But to be sure I dont let certain people touch my dice, or if they must use one I only allow them the dice I do not prefer to use often. There was this one guy who seemed to roll more "1" than "20", critically failing more than succeeding so I forbade him from using the 20-siders I used for battles.
9. I personally do not have cures.
10. using a standard 7-dice set and a few extras of those I stacked them to make a 10+ tall tower.
11. I like dice. I like spinning the 20-siders like a top while Im waiting for my turn in DnD battle or my opponent is taking their time playing MtG. Ive also kept one in my backpack as a sort of token in memory of Gary Gygax. Sort of a constant reminder that no one ever knows when they might have to "roll for initiative".

I find that while I don't have superstitions directly relating to jinxing dice or the way one rolls them (especially because I am quite naturalistic in my views of the world), I find it hard to not feel that numbers a die is giving me are skewed to the lower end. I'm sure they aren't actually, of course, but I tend to eventually put my die away and use a true-randomness number generator to feel better about it. I don't even like to use PRNGs that I write myself.

I have some.
I must always be friends with the dice, talk to them and make sure they are comfortable.
One must always apologize to dice that fall on the floor and no one but me is allowed to touch my dice.

By not taking care of them.
Not apologizing when they fall on the floor.
Neglecting them, i.e. not talking to them enough.
Letting someone else touch them, though this may be subverted if one asks very nicely, but the dice may not agree.

Talk to them, plead with them, beg and promise.
It's important to always follow up on promises though, or else they may contaminate other nearby dice.

1) 31, female, American
2) Pathfinder RPG (the reboot/upgrade of D&D 3.5 created by Paizo).
3) about 50 d6, 20 d20s, 10 d4s, a dozen or so d8, 30-40 d10s, and about 8 d12s. About 135 dice total. My spouse owns another 60-80. I own more cause I'm often the DM, and because I inherited a bag of ugly dice from a friend.

5) I own a pair of casino dice from Vegas, and two lead d6 made from American Civil War bullets. They don't roll well, so I rarely use them, but they're neat to look at. I also have a d20 necklace.
6) I keep my DM dice in a wooden box, or in a bag if I need to travel. I keep the dice for the character I'm playing in my spouse's game in a bag just for that character. I keep my spare dice in an older, rather beat up dice bag. And I keep a set of travel dice that I don't mind losing in my computer bag.
7) Yes.
8) When I set my dice out, I always put the highest number up. Also, I choose the color of my d20 based on my character's wardrobe (ie my cleric who wears red gets a red d20).
9) If my dice are behaving badly, I switch out for another set, and give the bad dice a "time out" to think about what they've done.
10) I don't really do that. I'm more likely to spin a pair of d20s in my hand when bored.
11) Nothing leaps to mind.
