This topic has more than likely already been addressed in detail here on The Escapist but... I certainly didn't see it, so I shall take the initiative. >=D And It's a fun topic so why not haha!

Of course, assuming you'll be purchasing The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim, please tell us all; what and more importantly, who will your Dragonborn be?
(assuming you've been thinking ahead, as I have. =p)

So what do you all have in mind?

Race?
Name?
Age?
Sex?
Ideal facial details? (a beard maybe or some scars? be creative! ^^)
Skill Specialty and Combat Style?
Star Sign/Birth Sign?
Allegiance / Guilds or Groups?
Other personal roleplay information?

In my case:
Louise, age 25, is an Elemental Trap Mage and Archer; specializing in ranged attacks for long range combat and resorting to set traps for her opponents when they attack up close after her initial volley of arrows. With medium length, very light blonde hair (almost white), steel blue grey eyes and being at one with the extreme cold of the land, she's a natural huntess of the mountains. As she's closely affiliated with frost magic and possesses a growing passion for the bow, she's both a member of the Mages, and Warrior's Guild.

She's an Imperial, born under the Star Sign of The Lord which, if it's the same attributes as Oblivion, grants a Healing Spell and a permanent weakness to fire magic (further supporting her affluence to the element of frost and cold.) As she's almost immune to the cold of the land, she wears no armor at all, only light clothing. She prefers this as it allows for freedom of movement as she sprints over the mountain tops, bow in hand and an athletic spring in her step.

In addition to her fighting style, she's supported by her lasting education as a child. She was taught by her Druidic father about both the wonders of Restoration Magic and to appreciate the strange complexity of Skyrim's flora - turning her into an adept Alchemist, unlocking the healing and harm properties of the plant life for her to harness.. She uses this Restoration Magic to both protect herself from harm by creating magical barriers from the blade and arcane elements, and by healing wounds she sustains from combat; using both herbal and magical remedies. Her magical shields and barriers also shield her from her own Trap Spells when they are cast in close proximity.

Her father is an Imperial man, her mother a Nord who was sadly taken early after Louise?s birth due to heavy Skooma experimentation with Louise?s father. Her mother?s death devastated her father, who then dedicated his life to Druidic balance and harmony, teaching his daughter to be both strong to corrupting influence and giving her a strong sense of moral right and wrong.) Her unusual immunity to cold temperatures and resistance to frost magic is thought by her and her Father to be her mother?s Nord blood flowing through her veins.

Now, I'd love to hear your ideas too. =) So tell me, who will you be in the land of Skyrim?

I still don't have details, but I'll probably play a "default", generic Nord Barbarian (from the promo screens), just like it's meant for the first time, but for later playthroughs, I still haven't decided anything. Probably an Argonian thief.

Hm, everyone seems to like a well made Argonian. ^^ Ok sounds good, I suppose the classic Nord Dragonborn would be an almost a living ingame trailer, almost like, the real Tod Howard experience haha. =p

I'm starting to worry that they have removed female characters as there have been only 2 players screenshots of females so far... either that or they look horrible.

I plan to play a female Bosmer thief called Tiana. She will use a bow from stealth predominantly but use daggers when needed. She will also have alchemy skill, illusion and restoration magic if that is allowed.

She will be very much an hard, independant, mercenary type and will do whatever benefits her the most.

I'll do what I did for my first in Oblivion:

Male Argonian assassin. Skills would include speechcraft, one handed swords, light armour, marksman, sneak, mercantile, security etc.

If possible facial features would be scales in black and red, with perhaps a scar over either eye. I'll be a smooth talking killer of the night. That's the plan right there.

Name or star sign I haven't decided yet.

Race?
I have no clue, honest. Would depend on how I feel. I usually fiddle with every slider, slipper, button, classbuilder & race till I am content (can take up to 30 (!) characters before I am content.)

Name?
Dunno, noone will remember it anyway

Ideal facial details? (a beard maybe or some scars? be creative! ^^)
Meh, not like I am gonna look at it x3

Sex?
Male, statwise decision.

Skill Specialty and Combat Style?
See race answer.

Star Sign/Birth Sign?
Thief probably if it's still as awesome as in oblivion.

Allegiance / Guilds or Groups?
Whoever pays the ferryman

Other personal roleplay information?
Not so much

Nice, always been a fan of the Bosmer race as well. ^^ btw don't worry, I'm sure the female character creation will be just as deep as the male. The fact is I think, is that most of these people playing the press demo of the game and making these test characters are male and as such go for the simple option and just make a male character because it required less thought and they only had an hour after all, so i doubt they really wanted to put too much effort into the character creation when there was gameplay content to explore.. =p

Race- High Elf (are they even in Skyrim?)
Name- Magical Mage, Magical Flail or Captain Jackass
Ideal facial details- Either a completely blank, lifeless stare or the biggest goddamn beard you've ever seen.
Sex- Of course ;)
Skill Specialty and Combat Style- Start off with magic and once I have that mastered I'll pick up a claymore.
Star Sign/Birth Sign= The apprentice, I think.
Allegiance / Guilds or Groups- Just me. Kinda like Fallout.
Other personal roleplay information- I depends. In Oblivion you couldn't really be a dick. And the guards constantly respawned so there wasn't much of a point if you were. But if its more like Fallout 3 where you can practically kill everyone, and then some, then..... well, I don't know. In Fallout 3 I was always a dick. It only mattered about how much of a dick I was. But in Oblivion (because you almost have to) I was a pretty nice guy. Half the Infamy points you get is from being a thief but thats not technically a "bad" thing.
So I'll probably end up playing through a couple times. XD

Race?
Nord

Name?
Probably Khorest or something cool like that.

Ideal facial details?
A big ginger beard. In a plait if possible. I don't know why, but whenever I get the oppertunity to create a character, they're always ginger.

Sex?
Man man man man manly man man man

Skill Specialty and Combat Style?
Probably my standard array of Blade, Heavy Armour, lockpick, the one that begins with A that let's you run faster and have more fatigue, and whatever else looks useful. Probably no magic (on the first time round). Combat style of "Smash it with my giant two handed sword of fuck you up". Possibly dual weilding two slightly smaller swords. Also alchemy is really useful.

Star Sign/Birth Sign?
The warrior

Allegiance / Guilds or Groups?
The fighters guild. Probably do some work for the mages guild, I might know a bit of restoration or destruction.

Other personal roleplay information?
He'll be a generally nice guy with decent morals, but with a thing for breaking things.

Allegiance / Guilds or Groups: Thieves Guild. If there is one.
Other personal roleplay information: Ein doesn't like being considered a thief, regardless of his skills or groups he associates with.

usually i'd go with a breton or a Dunmer, but after seeing the new khajit and argonian screenshots I'm kinda torn on what I'll go with.

I do know my first character will be a sneaky assassin character ( I loves me some stealth action).

2nr and 3rd play through I may go with a battlemage and straight up warrior respectively.

I was going to play a Nord warrior, but after seeing the new characters I'm thinking of doing a different build. Depending on the stats, I may have to go for an Argonian or Dunmer. I don't know, we'll see when it arrives.
