Today I was daydreaming about how great it would be to have a really awesome game based on Generation One of Transformers with Peter Cullen voicing Optimus as you whoop Megatron's ass all round an open world Cybertron while trying to protect the matrix at all costs for when Unicron shows up for the final boss battle...

Anyone else had a dream game they'd love to see?

Think of Final Fantasy, then think of making it a more action-based game and tearing out the RPG statistics that simply become unnecessary when you add collision detection and real-time action. That isn't to say it has to BE Final Fantasy specifically, but to be able to explore that kind of fantastic world from a more personal perspective--to really experience the action up close and have the magic at my fingertips--that, to me, would be a terrific game.

A big opened world Pokemon game.
You know you'd want it.

OH! And you could play as Bill Bailey or Stephen Fry!

-A story driven single-player (like mass Effect) Warcraft RPG, but with the opportunity to use different characters each time you play it, but with nice, detailed backstories and some epic, fantastical battles like Total War, but controlling only one character at a time. Preferably, the story would run parallel to the events of Warcraft III. Plus, a video editor would be great for seeing your gameplay through a cinematic lens.

-Another great idea would be a slower-paced, more suspenseful, open-ended zombie apocalypse game. Keep in mind that I love Left 4 Dead, but you could replace the zombies with any other sort of enemy, and it would still be fairly run n' gun style game. Take some ideas from the George A. Romero movies, like a mall or slow-moving zombies and give us open world, with guns, vehicles and a diverse variety of environments. It would be very interesting to see how they could make shambling zombies just as challenging, scary and intense as the 28 zombies. Have us decide whether to take in more survivors or turn them away, each with a set of benefits and penalties for the choice. Maybe have us escaping a quarantined area or fighting off raiders. Sometimes give us situations where you should just run instead of facing zombies head-on. I guarantee it would be nigh-perfect.

I've always longed for an open-world RPG with zombies. Kind of like Left 4 Dead mixed with Fallout.

Hey, we could call it Left 2 Rot!

See ive actually dreampt a game that sounded awesome, to me anyway. Its a small online deathmatch game that works on scrapping it out with different classes, with some form of level up system. The gimmick? All games take place in crowded areas, with the AI crowds being sheilds, camoflage, allies or enemys depending on how each person utilises them. I could go on for longer, but it was only a dream so i cant imagine it being the same in real life.. but in there at least, it was both awesome and scary in almost equal measure.

Ive been playing Armored Core: For Answer, which is a Mech game. I thought, how cool would this be if they made it like a cockpit simulator (where you step into a cockpit to play), where you could control every tiny aspect of it. So, yeah, that would be my dream game/console

A game like Oblivion, world-wise, but with Mirror's Edge free running, being able to switch from 1st to 3rd person freely. Run on medieval rooftops, sneak into a building, be able to actually assassinate people.

I realize this is kind of like Assassin's Creed, but in this one, you don't have missions. Open world, kill whoever the hell you want, different stuff happens if you kill certain people. E.g., if you kill the mayor or king, the town or city goes into revolt, etc.

Also, guards that are normal, not like Oblivion, where they sense you automatically, and you can actually kill unarmored people in a stab.

EDIT: Also, a Mech game with good graphics and good online play. Developed now.
