I would like a new proper X-wing game... or Descent Freespace 3...

Damn it, we don't have enough any decent modern space sims...
www.freeallegiance.org

I never tried this, but I did download it - I heard it has a very high learning curve (most of these good games do), and you might like it because it's only multiplayer. Actually, that might make you hate it.

Bang! Gunship Elite was good.
I'm sure you've played wing commander 4 and prophecy.
You've -probably- played Tachyon: The Fringe.
You should try X2 or X3.
And Darkstar One really is decent, and it's from 2006.

Oh, and of course FreeSpace Open has countless mods...

edit because I forgot about Tarr Chronicles and Dark Horizon [http://www.gametrailers.com/video/e3-2008-dark-horizon/36397] (never played these but they look good)

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
That said, my remake is Mechwarrior 2, at least, from what I can think of right now, MW2 or Duke Nukem 3D. Or maybe redoing and expanding upon Fallout 1.
OH
NEVERMIND, NEVERMIND, NEVERMIND.
DAGGERFALL, THE END.
If I could get a Daggerfall with zero bugs and a few good upgrades to common conventions from today's roleplaying games (minimap (a decent one), detailed quest log, etc.) I would be quite happy.
*My name is Search Bar, and I approve of this thread*
It gets incredibly annoying after a while to read this sort off thing...if you actually searched then nobody would call you out - so don't bother posting this nonesense....
If people wouldn't rag on it, people wouldn't feel the need to state that. Esp. since that search bar doesn't work worth shit anyway.
OT: The first 2 Fallout games redone in the style of Fallout 3. Although I'm not sure how they'd make the area transition and world map work. I suppose they could do something similar to Dragon Age Origins.
Morrowind, but with improved graphics and the oblivion interface (But for the love of smeg keep morrowind's leveling system not oblivion's).
Didn't they have the same leveling system? They sure seemed the same to me.
or Descent Freespace 3...
Oh God, I would pre-order that right away! The Freespace series is beyond awesome. I remember the first time I flew next to one of the big ships. The scale of it all blew my mind!
So I agree with this.
Also, Mischief Makers. I'd settle for a Virtual Console release though.
Yeah, I loved it so much, it's a shame the studio is long gone and the rights are in question...
Descent! Man I've got fond memories of Descent. It'd be awesome to have some remakes of the those games.
A remake of Shadow Hearts would be cool, to upgrade the graphics. The series had a great tone, but looks really dated now. A bit of a polish and it'd be spectacular.
I'd like a remake of FFVII too, but I can't help but think they'd never get it right and I'd only end up dissappointed, especially considering what the design team did to Midgar in Crisis core. Where are the goddamned slum punks?! I want my hi res mohawks. Plus, I can see them leaving in the cross dressing part and that would be one of the main reasons to get a remake.
I meant the levelling system of the enemies. In morrowind you felt that you got stronger as you levelled up, but in Oblivion as the enemies levelled up with you, you were weaker at level 20 than you were at level 1.
Mobile Suit Gundam: Crossfire
Released during the infancy of the PS3 and developed using techniques and graphics not up to blu-ray standard. It could use a remake with more levels, better environments, less restrictive maps, better voice acting and better sound. They could also add a space combat element.
Gameplay and controls however were pretty good and you could go a whole mission without getting hit granted you had become used to the controls and adapted to a mobile suit's weaknesses and strengths.
Arcanum in today's glorious graphics, with a KOTOR-like combat system. The wonderful Victorian architecture, all the costumes and races, it'd be wonderful.
I want to see Alton Brown star in an FPS remake of the classic Burgertime. Sorry, an old Game Overthinker bit.
I want to see Chrono Cross done in a way that ties it closer to Chrono Trigger.
I want to see a 2.5d remake of the original Kid Icarus video game. I want them to add something that will allow pitt to survive falling into void once in a while.
I want to see Terranigma finally get a North American release.
Oh yeah that. If I recall in Morrowind, there were some enemies in certain areas that leveled with you, but most stayed pretty much the same so there was a general benefit to leveling up. So yeah, I see your point.
How bout Darkstar 1?
Hmm, never heard of it... Any good?
Yeah it decent, basicly a free roaming Freespace with an upgradable ship and piss poor story. Keep it simple stupid is pretty much Darkstar One.
If you are waiting for Freespace 3 buy this to pass your time.
Perhaps... The Legend of Zelda? I think it would be interesting to see the outcome of that...
