Uhhhhhhhhhhm foreign movies that need subtitles AND have multiple endings that the audience gets to choose halfway through the movie?

I always wanted to be a writer but my brain no longer fires off ideas like it used to :(

If you want have Calculon race to the gun fight in his hover ferrari, press one.

If you want to have Calculon finish his paper work, press two.

I have an entire Science Fiction series in my head. It has been there for four years. It is my dream to develop it to the point that it can be published to make me a lot of money and give me a reputation as an author.

I love writing. I want this dream to come true.

Design.

I would love to just sit around a be a designer. Don't have to worry about accounts, customer relations, money. I just want to design.

A creative director gig would be pretty swank as well.

Maybe advertising. Always been an interest.
Sorry to burst your bubble, but design is all about bullshit like customer relations, accounts and money. I have 3 years as a graphic designer, and as much as I would love for the job to be 100% design - 0% bullshit, it's really about 35% design - 65% bullshit.
Yeah I know.

That's why it's a dream.

And friend and I created our own entire Comic Book-like universe, which we still work on as a little pet project. Hundreds of characters, a bunch of Storylines, organizations, massive crossover events and more. What I thought would be cool is if we made games based on them, with a massive comic universe that supports the stories of the games. Playing the games on their own tell a story, but you can truly appriciate all the details if you read the right comics. The ultimate cross-media universe. In fact, if either of us could ACTUALLY draw better than a grade schooler, we might have even tried it. Oh well... it's still fun to mess around with.

Ah, okay. Guess I should have profile checked. I just assumed you weren't a designer and hoping to be one.

Design can be fun, but I agree, all that other stuff gets in the way. I especially love when clients think they know more about design than you do. You know, since amateur designers clearly know more than educated pros. Yet, they pay the bills, so pride gets swallowed and one must acquiesce to some really bad ideas at times. I swear I've made some brilliant designs, only to have them completely broken down and destroyed by know-nothing-know-it-all clients.

Okay, okay... not all clients are like that. But the ones that are just stand out.
No worries. I think you're the first fellow designer I've even seen on the site to begin with. Also, at least you got a fulltime job it sounds. The best I've been able to do out of school has only been freelance.

As for client horror stories, let me direct you here: http://http://clientsfromhell.net

That ending was far more interesting anyway. Lasers and hover ferrari fights are soooo overdone these days so it is nice to see something different.

It would be an animated movie. The main characters would be SPESS MEHREENS professional soldiers working for a lawful evil space nation/corporation. They would go to war with a less evil group (Optimistic about trying to make things better... but not yet).

And there would be lots of stuff blowing up. Planets, mostly.

And you'd expect them to realise that they're being evil. But they don't. Because they truly believe in the goal of their glorious nation. And the viewer would be led to agree with them. And they'd be wrong.

I don't want to say too much... But...

It would be a sci-fi epic... I've been working on it in my head for 6 years now...

Still unsure what medium to use... I can't write, drawings are mediocre, and can't make video games... Would be nice if it could be an anime or manga... but thats unlikely...
