So yesterday I decided to put Ubuntu on my computer just to see how it was. During install, I chose the unpartioned 400 gigs I had for Ubuntu. Turns out, I must have chosen the chunk with Windows XP instead, and now my gaming machine is borderline useless and I wiped all my game saves except the stuff on cloud. This got me thinking, what computer related stupidities have my fellow Escapists committed? Post here and let's all have a friendly laugh at our own stupidity.

Oh snap :l You got owned.
My computer related stupidities don't extend too far as I don't particularly attempt anything that's not basic.

Buying a laptop with a tiny 150Gb HDD is up there on the scale of stupidity.

I'm generally pretty careful of how I use my computer, so I don't make many errors of judgment such as yours, but I've had my share of minor fails (e.g., saving over a better version of a Word file, not saving a Word file, deleting something and emptying the recycling bin and then seeing that the thing is being deleted but acting too slowly...stuff like that).

Back in the old days when I went on a less-than-savoury website searching for images and didn't do the research before downloading half of them.

I think the number of viruses on that computer were somewhere in the tens of thousands when I finally realised I should get it formatted.
