EDIT: My way:I add almost everyone who PMs me or adds me, it gives me the impression that there are actually people out there who care (except for my parents ofc)

I only add someone to my friends if I discover that we share a common interest/hobby.

I also add anyone who's name starts with the letter "R."

I'll add anyone who interests me. Say their avatar or a post they made, or I've been talking to them. Also if someone adds me I'll add them back.

I've only added one or two people, but the rest of them have added me, so I add them in return. It's only polite. Having said that, I've got to know some pretty cool people.

I am friends on here with a friend in real life, in fact he's my brother's friend, but we get along okay.

Usually it's because I A) know the person in real life or B) had a good discussion on a forum.

I add peopel who make me lol, have the same veiws, have an epic avatar, like the same bands as i do (im look at the few guys with Rise Against as their picture!) and peopel who live generally lose to me. I was suprised there are a number of users who live in the Middlesbourgh-ish area of the North East.. im not the only one, im normal :')

I only added one, the rest added me. But most of them I had been interacting with in threads and the like, and are nice people. The only reason I generally don't add people is my immense fear of rejection.

no, that's okay, i was just saying i don't have any friends on the escapist and saying something stupid here. it's what i do, and plus i'd probably ignore you any way, so there'd be no point.
