I've always liked Tom Kane, he voices Marquis Halim Ondore in Final Fantasy XII and Magneto from Wolverine and the X-men, in addition to a huge amount of other minor stuff.

Patrick Stewart goes without saying, I'll never be able to put any other voice to Xavier thanks to him.

The late Tony Jay.

Closely followed by Simon Templeman.
THIS... Legacy of Kain FTW.

To be fair, Michael Bell was pretty great too, just not quite in the same league.

Also? Florence Dire, AKA Flo Di Re, the voice actress for Ravel Puzzlewell.
He was... but I thought most people forgot how great the dialogue with Templeman & Jay were in the original Blood Omen. I prefer them.

To be fair, they're excellent in the subsequent games too.

Edge of the coin speech. That is all.

I haven't experienced many that I instantly connected with, but I really enjoyed Jennifer Hale's voice acting as Shepard in both ME games. Maybe it's 'cause she's hot, taking control 'n stuff, maybe it's 'cause we share Jennifer as a first name, maybe it's 'cause I'm a little biased towards girls and Bioware... but regardless, that's the first and nearly only person that popped into my head when I read this thread.

Poor Mark Meer. He never gets any love. Maybe I only liked him so much because he had this dry deadpan delivery for everything, which is exactly how I play my Shephard!

See, I think that's the problem, and the real reason so many people prefer Hale. I actually wrote a fairly lengthy diatribe about this a while ago, but don't feel like digging it up right now. Basically, Meer took Shepard's lines and attached a single personality/delivery to all of them. So, if you happen to want your male Shepard to sound that way, you're in luck, and Meer sounds great. If not... well, he did do slightly better in ME2.

Hale gave each line it's own independent delivery, so they can be combined and feel natural. Then again she's got easily 10-20 times as many roles under her belt as Meer, so go figure.
Very true. I guess I lucked out. I am one of those crazy people that doesn't really care for Jennifer Hale, in any of her roles. For some reason, I think most female voice actors aren't quite up to snuff compared to even average male voice actors.
I am not sure why this is...I could be totally nuts. There are only a few that I think do a good job.

Jennifer Hale.

For overall achievements and being that creepy hair thing in Power Puff Girls.

Oh and for being Black-Cat on the good old Spiderman series.
Sexiest thing ever made.

He did the voice for the Gravemind in Halo 2 and 3, and I'm sorry but if you don't think that voice is awesome you are wrong.

Steve Blum and Jennifer Hale.

Steve Blum did the VA of Spike in Cowboy Bebop, AKA, the smoothest, silkiest voice ever.

And Jennifer Hale is just...

Well, She's Jennifer Hale!
This is pretty much exactly what I was going to say.
Except I was going to say that Steve Blum voices everyone.

My favorite is Jim Cummings. He has voiced so many characters from my childhood he practically raised me.
Thank you! My thoughts exactly!

Not only did he star in my favorite show as a kid- "Bump in the Night", but he is the voice of Minsc! While other VA's do amazing work today, Jim Cummings remains on the top of my list for the amazing work he's done in the past.

Definitely Jennifer Hale. Though she lost a few points with Bulletstorm. She had some great lines, but the tough-punk chick voice she used didn't really seem to fit.

But Mass Effect and ME2 femShep was some of the best voice acting I've ever heard by anyone.
