If you were to choose one achievement that you have earned from any game to be your favorite achievement, what would it be and why? This could be anything from one of the easiest achievements, but with an awesome name, or something that challenged you to tears and when you finally finished it, you felt like a God.

Personally I am most proud of my "Little Rocket Man" achievement from Half Life 2: Episode 2. There was something about seeing that gnomes smiling face after a brutal firefight that cheered me up, yet it was also one of the most infuriating things i have ever done, keeping that gnome in that car was a mission.

actually, it's one i'm still working on: Bridge Over Trebled Slaughter (get over the bridge and to the evac vehicle in under 3 minutes) from the Parish campaign in L4D2. mainly 'cause i love the name, and also 'cause that's one of my favorite finales in the L4D series.

The Redeemed achievement in Red Dead Redemption is my favorite out of the other achievements I have earned. You have to gain 100% single player completion. It is not that difficult to do but it is very time consuming.

Hey! You took mine! When I saw the title, I knew for certain "Little Rocket Man" was my favorite!

Having to carry Norman (I named him Norman the Gnome) was a huge challenge. Especially when having to drive the car and keep him from falling behind.

When I put him in that rocket and saw him blast off, I stood, saluted and cried a little (no really...I did) for my little man was going into space to save us all!

It's not that I'm proud of having unlocked it (I had to look it up...), but I do love the "It's-a-me" achievement in Mirror's edge.

I think everyone cries a little when they see that little guy blast off :') and I named him Nostradamus Gnome.

I think I've seen this thread before (maybe not here) and, if I have, I'll answer the same way I did then. It will always be the same. It's the easiest 5G you'll ever get. From The Simpsons Game, "Press START To Play". How do you get it? Just press start, duh. I'm surprised no one thought of this joke sooner but someone had to eventually. Though I'm kind of surprised it actually gives you points. It really should've been a 0G achievement like the "PWND" achievement. You have to die 10 times to get that one and is a much more considerable effort than pressing the start button.

Can't remember what it's called but the one for losing 5 rounds of DOA4 online in a row and you get 0g for it. Brilliant

I worked so damn hard for that.. but if i were to choose a WoW achievement it would definitely be Mountain O' Mounts. I wasted 2 months of my life on that.. but the reward was awesome.

Big Game Hunter (or something to that effect) in Fable 2. You shoot a tiny, defenseless bunny. It's worth 5g.

I don't have one, but I'll post the first achievement that came to mind. 'Brutality Bonus'(?) from Vanquish. You had to cut the arms, legs and head off of a certain enemy whose name escapes me before killing it. At that point in time, I really liked the saw weapon. All I did was chop jazz up with that weapon. So when I saw a large enemy stand in my way, I went right at it! It never stood a chance, haha!

I'm pretty sure his name was Gnome Chomsky.
OT: I can't decide between two achievements. The first is quite recent - it's .. / .- -- / .- .-.. .. ...- . from Assassin's Creed Brotherhood. Those puzzles were amazingly awesome. There's no way to describe it.
However, my favorite of ALL TIME was probably A Monument To All Your Sins in Halo: Reach. The Reach Campaign is tremendously entertaining, while still posing a challenge, and getting Monument made me feel like I was in an exclusive club (barely 5% of Reach players have it).

I hate achievement systems in all of their forms, and wish that there was a button in all games to put them into the background and hide them away from me entirely. I have no pride in any of my in-game achievements - all of the games which I have any degree of pride in my achievements have absolutely no achievement system at all.
Then why did you post here?
OT: Probably "The Most Awesome Thing Ever" from Brutal Legend, basically you jump a car over a mammoth type thing. I tried and bounced off the mammoth's ass and flipped the car, I thought I had to replace the damn mammoth and try again, but I got it.

I know right?

Is there any 'achievement' for not killing anyone other than the bosses on Deus Ex?

Although, Xbox/PS3/Steam achievements can fun little things to do, its a bit bizarre how obsessed people can get with them.
Its like when you pop in your CoD/Halo/Whatever disc and a game invite pops up.
"Hey man! You wanna play multiplayer?"
"Yeah ok."
"Sweet! Hey, waste 50 hours trying to help me get this achievement worth 10 points (meaningless numbers)!"
"....what...."
And you end up doing boring crap rather than playing the actual game. : P
