Lately, I've been seeking out great action scenes that I haven't seen before and thought I'd ask while still online.

Mine would be every action scene in the Bourne trilogy. Did those movies even have a story? I can't remember.

Revel in its absurdly long, drawn out glory.

EDIT: I also loved the zero gravity hallway fight in Inception.

This does it for me because Jet Li is the beast!

I have loads more, but this stands out the most to me.

Jean Claude Van Damme and Mickey Rourke in Double team at the end of the movie.

Whoever came up with this fight really needs a bigger budget. (just realised the end of this sequence, starting at 7:50, has been removed. They survive the blast when Rodman uses a coke machine as a shield to protect them all.)

Also that guy is totally right, Clawhammer in a Hallway in Oldboy. Legs of Fire in Ong Bak is pretty fucking badass too.

A Hermit's Cave
Uh a few come to mind:

Battles:
Alexander - (shit film, but) Battle of Gaugemela, brilliant set-piece
Battle of Britain - take your pick of the dogfights
Waterloo - pretty much the entire damned film
LotR - Siege of Minas Tirith/Battle of Pelennor Fields (actually, I watch it more for the music)

Fights:
Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon - everyone harps on about the unarmed fight, but I prefer Michelle Yeoh's versatility with several different weapons near the end
Matrix Reloaded - Chateau
Sword of the Stranger - Luo-Lang (Rarou) vs Nanashi
Fearless - Jet Li vs Nidaime Nakamura Shidou

Anything from the Zeram movies. I can't find any clips from them that have all the action, but I found a musick video with some of the action parts from the second movie.

They didn't, but that wasn't because of the the action scenes.

OT:
Storming the beach in 'Saving Private Ryan'
Every fight in 'Hero', 'V for Vendetta' and 'House of Flying Daggers'
Also that film with Jason Statham in as well as the bit in 'Transformers' with the big fighting robots.

Edit:Forgot about these

Just from the top of my head.
These are just a few but they're my favorite that I can think of right now.

Damn it, ninja'd.

And actually, the Bourne series had a pretty in depth and intelligent storyline, shame you didn't see it, it was quite good!

Recently...the 45 minute epic samurai fight in 13 Assassins. Quite the film.

All time...have you seen Face/Off? Every 10 minutes.

And the 3rd act of Hot Fuzz...
Ah, I knew that the Bourne series couldn't possibly have received such rave reviews for the action scenes alone.

Face/Off was awesome! It features one of my favorite fictional kills of all time, at the end where
Nicholas Cage impales John Travolta (or, the other way around) with the spear gun at the end.

You may or may not count it as a "movie", but I still think the fight with the giant robot at the end of Brittle Bullet in the FLCL series was awesome.

Pretty much this-
It's much one of the few highlight of the film since the rest of it was dull.
