Your favorite "alternate version" of Videogame Music

there are many versions of video game themes all over the Web (how many there are of the super mario bros theme god only knows)

my example is the original song from Castlevania (I can't remember the name)


it starts and goes through until about 1:47 (its only short, part of a medly) I love this version because its understated, the back up strings add a nice undertone while the melody (tune?) feels almost playful, its not big and bombastic but it feels like it builds up to something...I also liek the song that follows (even if I'm not familiar with the original) I'm not quite so mcuh of a fan when it goes to the church organ/choir

Wind Waker theme which is basically pirate metal? YUS! 4:20 is my favourite part, so my nostalgia feels.

Can't beat a good Chrono Trigger remix.

Well, I can't say for sure it's my favorite, but I was just listening to this version of Marisa's theme from Touhou 8, and it's really good.

The Jazz Album of the Phoenix Wright soundtrack is also amazing. I mean, the soundtrack is incredible already but this... seriously, listening to Godot's theme (track 8 on this playlist, the fragrance of dark coffee) on a rainy day while drinking a cup of coffee makes you feel like the smoothest mofo in town
