Today was not a fun day. First avg failed to update, then for some reason i couldnt log into wow or battle net for dota, then i couldnt get into alot of my favorite web pages, so i knew i was somewhat screwed, well long story short i downloaded bitdefender and it works pretty well and killed the trojan that was causing the whole mess, at least i hope that was the one that was otherwise i got some huntin to do. Whats your favorite anti-virus program?

Hah...AVG is mine. I've had no problems with it whatsoever. Nothing. Zilch. Piss all.

Avast! Used to use AVG until they updated it to a newer version and it took like 5 hours to scan my computer when it used to only take 2... I have a lot of stuff... >_>
Also run Malwarebytes every so often...

I always thought AVG was pretty cool, and I've heard good things about NOD32. also Kaspersky, anyone ever used that?

My laptop came with a free month-long trial of Norton, and after a month went by I didn't have a verification vode. So essentially, I don't have Norton. But it still resets my laptop every now and again for updates and constantly sends reminders my way to tell me that I need a verification code to renew the program.

It's ridiculously irritating. It comes across like a child desperately trying to make you pay attention to him, and when you do he turns away.

I've only ever used Norton.
Switch. Now. It's probably the worst anti-virus software on the market and your PC is probably crawling with viruses.

I use AVG personally but I've got a couple other ones on here too, like Lavasoft and sysclean.

AVG Internet Security. It is so easy to use, not that expensive and has excellent 64 bit support.

Avast! ye maties....(sorry couldn't resist).

But yes, I prefer Avast! I have used Norton and AVG, I just prefer the interface of Avast! That, and it seems more secure to me.

I Don't run any form of anti virus at all, just a well configured firewall.

I've had this exact install of vista for a year and a half now and it runs as well as the day I first installed it, thanks to common sense and routine maintenance.

AVG but hopefully I'll be getting Norton soon
Don't. Norton is easily one of the worst pieces of software I've ever seen.
agreed. when i started out on my laptop, i couldnt play anything multiplayer or any flash game because it was constantly warning me, then shutting the shit down.

Norton = Shit.
