As the title says. My two favorites are Malkalvian Mod from Deus Ex and Mass Effect character mods. Basically, I like out of place, random, lorebreaking content the best.

Malkalvian Mod is like a playable Deus Ex youtube poop. I also can no longer see pigeons in real life without thinking that if I give it pills, it will start rapping.

Look at thiiiiiiiis...

Forgotten Hope 2! This is what BF2 should have been, none of this dull modern combat BS. All shooters must be set in WW2 and nothing else! XD

Probably Counterstrike. It was origionally developed as a community mod. Valve eventually hired them it was so popular. And its currently getting another make over.

Skip the Fade mod for Dragon Age Origins.

That mod is a goddamn masterpiece and a godsend.

Or ever need.
Holy crap, this has got to be the greatest thing I have ever seen. World, you have done me a complete disservice by not letting me know about this until now.

On topic, probably Nehrim [http://www.nehrim.de/indexEV.html], a total conversion for Oblivion that is, in my opinion, far better than Oblivion in almost every way.

Either that, or The Stanley Parable [http://www.moddb.com/mods/the-stanley-parable]. If you haven't played the Stanley Parable, download it and play it right now.

I love good audio mods:

Otherwise, though, I don't usually have enough time to get past the vanilla content. :p

Besides pretty much every game Valve puts out I'd have to say:

1. Company of Heroes: Eastern Front [http://www.easternfront.org/?p=news]

2. Fire Emblem: Elibean Nights [http://serenesforest.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=21305]

John P's texture packs for Deus Ex: Invisible War and Thief 3 were pretty awesome. The PC users got screwed a little because they had to make those games run on the original Xbox, and those texture packs were a huge improvement.

Also, I can't remember its name, but there was a pretty awesome Matrix conversion mod for Max Payne. They made the lobby scene into a very cool level. In fact there were many great mods for MP 1 and 2. I also loved the kung-fu mod.

In terms of user-generated content, I just played the "12 Angry Tests" user-made puzzles for Portal 2. I was surprised... they were well done and varied.

The evolution of the human gun sounds cheat on timesplitters :D

I second the graphical mods for system shock 2. Especially since they have now fixed the mid-wifes face.

Or the ss2 tool itself. Gets the original game disc to run WITHOUT having to use bloody dos-box :D

Don't you have to use anti armor on buildings? Stuff like Melta Bombs or heavy ordnance usually did the trick for me.

By the way, version 3.6 has been available for nearly a year. You can download it, but it requires a password for activation. Red Ones Goes Fasta.
