Hello there

I am in the need of some goals, show me your favorite goal!

It can be awesome because the goal itself is friggin' awesome, or it can be because the goal has some other sort of value!

Spoiler: Gerrard penalty vs Fulham

The reason for this goal is because it's a very well taken penalty (well most of Stevies penalties are great quality) at the last minutes of the game and that kick sealed the 2-3 win at Craven Cottage (Fulham Stadium).
The other thing that makes it so special is the fact that I was actually there, in the crowd, not straight behind the goal but I have it on film of my own on the camera.

So Escapist, any sport, any goal!

One of my favorites is this beauty:


Not only is it amazing, it came after a down season for Messi and his club (Barcelona). The way he celebrated aftewards looked like he was taking a huge weight off his shoulders.

Not the prettiest goal and I'm not as big of a Bayern supporter as I was once but man, look at his face right after he scores. Particularly sweet when you know Robbens whole back story. Take that, Subotic, you ****.

Also, I can't see your video, not sure why.

Hell when you're 3-2 down with only added time left you'll take a goal however it comes. When that goal went in my jaw dropped, I couldn't believe it.

The one I got in the final minute of the game in high school that was an accidental deflection of a corner kick that went straight off the goalies face and into the top left corner net... they had to help the poor goalie off the field. We didn't win either, but it was still my favorite all time.
2nd place - the goal scored off the nuts of the referee by one of my teammates.
BTW I haven't watched a match since my high-school days so there are probably better ones.

The only goal I can clearly remember is me heading an own goal from about 20m, well sure it was a deflection from a shot from about 35 and the keeper was going the wrong way but still, not my proudest moment to be able to do that

The nut shot was the funniest because the ref wore those tight and very short shorts and no cup and he was one of the regular ref's so we used to tease him about not wearing a cup. After that game he wore a cup every time. (Plus he was British so when he got hit the oddity of curses he unleashed on us unsuspecting Floridians was hilarious...) Alas poor Nigel...
