Damn, someone beat me to the punch. Anything in Battletech looks awesome but the Mad Cat was always my favourite mech.

Don't know if someone pointed this out already but I consider myself a qualified Battletech/Mechwarrior nerd, so I'm just gonna throw it out there that that is in fact a Mark II Madcat, which weighs 15 tonnes more than the traditional Madcat, and sports twin gauss rifles rather than the original's traditional ER Laser configuration.

Great choice though

(my hat is off to anyone else who also chooses mechs from the Battletech universe over those prissy lookin' gundam thingies with fingers and swords and pointy bits on their backs.) =P

Also, I love the Infinite Justice. It's like the designers were all "hey, do we really need a mobile suit that has body parts that DON'T have beam swords on them? No, no we don't."

And Western mecha are still boring and ugly!

I love western mechs as well as eastern. I think the western ones are closer to reality, but I love how mad the japanese ones are too.

Western mechs are ugly tin cans that are more like walking coffins. These are elegant things of beauty.

i LOVE western mechs! they're Freakin' bipedal tanks!

the anime mechas look too much like the people who drive them in my opinion. it also looks like every weapon they have starts with either the word hyper, mega, super, or ultra.

i like his style.

i like the grey titanic mechs that look bulky and have a good amount of guns; not to many, or it would look silly. i like the ones that look like vehicles, not costumes. not much of a laser person either, but blue or green lasers give off a nice techno look when the armor is black.

Dog from halflife is pretty sweet in this regard.

Trolling is saying something to intentionally bait people into getting angry.

They were just voicing an opinion.

This is a thread about FAVORITE Giant Mechs, not about why that person believes mechs are stupid. He's going into an area where people will obviously be going to talk and show off their favorite mech models, posting that is like going to Comic-Con with a sign that reads "Comics are stupid."

So yes, it is trolling. It may be his honest opinion, but its still trolling.

More specificaly,the UZL-2S. It carries around a pair of Charged Particle Projection Cannons for long range conflict,a Crossbow SRM-6 rack for close quarters confrontations,a machinegun for reducing infantry to fertilizer,and jump jets that allow 180 meters of upward lift. And it has impressive waste-heat management systems!
To top it all off,it's fast at 97 kph,and well protected with eight tonnes of solid armour.
Fear it. Just try not to soil yourselves when two orbs of charged particulated death come screaming your way.
