What's your favorite instrument?

Mine would have to be the pan flute, it has such a soothing yet awesome sound when played correctly. I can't get enough of songs that use the pan flute in them. Either I've played to much "Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks' and come to love the sound, or I just liked them naturally.

My favourite one to play has always been a trumpet, though I loved the tin whistle back in school. My favourite one to listen to? Probably drums, though I love the bass guitar too.

The Pan flute is nice, but the best instrument is good old piano, followed closely by violin. They just make beautiful sounds. (Violin would probs be first, but I play piano :))

I play the trumpet as well, it has a nice sound to it and I love to play it, but still, to me pan flute sounds the best.

My father just gave me his (now) 43 year-old melodica. I picked up most of the Ocarina of Time songs in the first couple hours, and now I drag it around with me wherever I go, just to entertain my friends.

Weird reply, gonna have to go with the French Horn, works great in Orchestras and has a beautiful sound to it when played right.

Best part is you can usually hear it over every other instrument.

Percussion.

And no, I'm not talking about a guy on a drumset playing some m4d dubl b4ss l1ckz! I'm just talking about percussion in general, everything from a complex drum set, to a cowbell, to a guy hitting a pole with a stick. Percussion is versatile. It creates rhythm, textures, and even melodies.

Either that or the human voice, another versatile instrument. Everything from singing, shouting, screaming, beatboxing, rapping to growling. It's an instrument that we can all play in a way, because you don't have to be a great singer to use it, because we use it musically every day by simply speaking and a variety of other things. The way we speak is very rhythmic, and in a sense, musical.
