Squirrel girl.

I know what you're thinking, it's not like that. I like her because a. she isn't afraid to have fun and b. she has yet to lose. ever.

Yeah, those are canon.

very hard to decide, but I'll guess the Punisher takes first place because of the Garth Ennis "MAX" series; it has very good character development.

Also, X-23. IMO better than Wolverine

Iceman. Because he's like me (or i hope) in that he has the all the potential to be the most powerful mutant--and, arguably--living entity but can't get over his own internal bullshit enough to utilize it.

The girl who saved Iron man from doctor doom by...annoying him with her squirrel friends and has a better track record for victory than the hulk(or indeed anyone). the girl went to find penance just to tell him to stop being a miserable bastard?

Yeah, you nailed this one. she has to be just about the best.

Sign up another one for Deadpool. He really needs his own movie. I want more smartass Ryan Renolds killing people with swords and guns. (Though for the love of god he better not have his mouth sown shut)

Oh jeez. There are so many. I would've said Iron Man, though I'm still trying to recover from what they did to him in Civil War and Secret Invasion. Hmmmm. I'm going to have to say Patriot from Young Avengers.

I mean, not only does he rock a serious sweet costume but he is genuinely an interesting character.

Deadpool...do i have to say why? He and Dante of Devil may cry (The awesome one, not the new one) should totally do a cross-over series/comic/something. But, this is not the thread for such a thing so yeah, I'll leave it there

Best Marvel vs. Capcom crossover idea ever.

Spiderman, hes the super hero born out of a commic book nerd. You take a comic book nerd, give him super powers and then make him the reason theres a family tragidy. You have a smart ass, know it all who makes constant references and still fights badguys (usually without paying attention to the damage he causes).

For me it's Spiderman. Sure he has superpowers, but the reason I real like him is beyond that, he's really just an average working stiff. He's like most of us that has to worry about how he's going to pay rent, where his food's coming from and how he'll survive college (although he did graduate in the comic.) This on top of doing the superhero thing which seems quite taxing. Other superheros, like the X-Men live in a mansion with a bunch of cool equipment at their disposal.

A close second would be Gambit though. I just think he's cool. He can be kind of an asshole, but that just makes him better.
