The Specialists is possibly the most awesome mod I have ever played. Still one of the best flat out games I have ever played. Can give TF2 and UT2004 a run for it's multiplayer money.

It's a tie between the racing mod and the trials mod on Unreal Tournament 2004, the former made the game into a Twisted Metal type race where one team has to defend an objective whilst the other attacks it, but you're all driving in Scorpions and blowing each other up, some maps are just fucking amazingly made. The latter made UT into a platformer, and it was actually quite challenging, especially on some maps that were made to be impossible. Both mods I still play and have spent 1000s of hours each on, UT2004 is my favorite racing game and platformer.
