Tron Legacy hands down, Daft Punk ftw!. On Top Gear last night pretty much every piece of music was from that sound track.

Crows Zero.

Not only did it fit the movie perfectly, but the songs are awesome on their own. Some of them really get you pumped up and feeling like a bad ass.

UP for best original score that was created with traditional instruments.

Fight Club for best score made with modern musical production teck.

Best Musical I can't have a opinion on because I have only seen one all the way though and liked it (So Sweeny Todd I guess).

Best Soundtrack goes to Quentin Tarantino, just Quentin Tarantino. All his movies have great soundtracks and they all deserve equal credit.

Currently the soundtrack to "Sympathy for Lady Vengeance" (F*ck bad translations); you have to order it from the asian itunes store, but totally worth it!

btw tell me Lord Inglip, where's the alpha button on my keyboard?

Requiem for a Dream.
I second that.

I'd be lying if I said I wasn't disappointed by how many times lord of the rings got mentioned before requiem for a dream (lux aeterna was written for requiem for a dream). I know there are other songs in the LOTR ost, but damn it's a good piece.

Lord of the Rings and Inception are the two that spring to mind. They add so much to each movie.

Also,
This has one of the best progressions I've heard in any song ever.

Lord of the Rings, and Tron Legacy.

Although Legacy wasn't all that good, the soundtrack was.
