My personal favorite premise is Stubbs the Zombies. I have tons of games where you kill zombies. Actually playing the zombie, killing humans, is just fun. What is yours, skipper?

I just love post-apocalyptic games. I'm hoping I'm relatively young and well-armed when our apocalypse comes.

Science experiment gone wrong. You can pretty much play that out however you want provided you have some imagination, without it really getting old!

Look up the movie "Teeth" , it has the graetest premise EVAR! :D

Probably that show on Spike "Deadliest Warrior", it may be simple but any show that puts a Spartan and a Ninja against each other is good in my book

Steampunk with little amount of philosophical babble to spice it up.
Bioshock ofcourse.
And generaly everything from geekdome with at least appearance of deeper meaning.
Thats why I just love BSG.

Anything that tries to screw with borders between imagination, dreams and reality. There is just so much you can do with that.
Needless to day, I loved Assassins Creed and the Matrix and Inception movies.

But the show itself is based on weapons alone. nothing else.

OT: My favorite premise is High speed action combat in mechs like Z.O.E. 2
But NINJAS!

Lovecraftian horror. For some reason the concept of immortal, hideous, gigantic aliens that consider the human race akin to ants really appeals to me, story-wise.

I found this move interesting, as it took extremaly stupid idea and tried to pull it off with a straight face. That was...impresive.

To bad that by todays standards all those unholy frog-like creatures with hundrets of eyes and tentacles are more funny than scary. But all Cthulhu mythos had tons of grim/funny atmosphere, thats for sure.

I agree with that partially. These types of things sound quite ridiculous, but I like to think that if anyone ever encountered something of this nature in real life they would piss their pants in fear.

I watched that with my sister. I can't remember what was funnier, the film or her reaction.

OT: Apocalypse. That is a challenge I wish to beat.

Classic RPG. Tolkien-esque fantasy world, fireballs, 6 stats, and a ton of armour.

Dragon Age is my short-term favourite game.

Favorite premise? It would be from a novel series. The idea was to apply real modern day veterinary medicine to mythological creatures.

I'm sorry but I have a nerdgasm each time I think about it.
