Anything that was introduced on a platform no later than 1995.
For reference:http://www.gamefaqs.com/systems.html

Mine would have to Eartbound. IDK I just love it.

You?

Sonic the Hedgehog 3 and/or Sonic & Knuckles.

Pretty sad that almost 15 years later, THESE are still the most fun Sonic games.

Please. There is only one retro game that is still fun today.

And that game be Tetris.

While I agree tetris is great fun, I can't help but think there are other classics. Space Invaders and Arkanoid(Alleyway on Gameboy) were my favourites.

Tetris or Space Invaders can keep me amused for hours. Pac Man however is different, I'm no good at it.

Honestly, the video says everything. If that's not the greatest game ever made, I'm not sure what is. The opening sequence still makes me feel like a kid again.

EDIT: Yes, that is a real game and it's on Fileplanet.

EDIT EDIT: Ahh, I guess it doesn't count since it's past 1995 even thought it's a direct clone of a game only seen in the movie. In that case, Xexyz for the 8 bit Nintendo is my pick.

EDIT EDIT EDIT: Actually, it does kind of count because Atari planned on releasing the game from the movie to arcades, but it never happened. So fuck it, I'm sticking with my original pick and will just pretend I'm playing it via emulator. :D
