I love this song by Thy Catafalque:
http://youtu.be/-DDePrlB2Z4
(How do you embed?)

But i can't say that i understand a lot of Hungarian. but from what i can see from translations, it doesn't seem to matte that much, just a lot of fantasy shenanigans.
There's also some French and Spanish (I love Mars Volta but they have a lot of spanish that i don't get) here and there and probably a lot of other stuff as well. But i understand most of my music, it's mostly in English, Danish, Swedish, Norwegian or German so it's not that big of a problem for me.

I don't really understand Gaulish

I'm not exactly fluent in German either, but this song is basically about making the most of your life.

English-speaker only here, and...
Not sure if it's Icelandic or Hopelandic (they may not have gone all Hopelandic until ( )), but... damn.

Video's still weird as fuck, though.

I really need to look up more of their stuff, past the original Emerald Sword saga...or even just more of their Italian songs.

As is, the only one I remember them singing in Italian is Lamento Eroico, which I absolutely love.
I have listened to a lot of there songs and liked 4 of them enough to put on a play list. I respect the talent of rhapsody of fire but I am not the kind of person who likes bands/individual musicians for the most part. I like individual songs.
miracle of sound is the only exception to this and so far. He has made many songs that I like and have his bandcamp page part of my bookmarks to keep track of when his new songs are released.

Dude, don't create copy threads, we already got one that isn't even a week old:

I was not aware this kind of thread was already recently made.
Searching the words "music" and "language" did no come up with with your linked thread. it is just kinda worded different then then I would expected and thus I missed when using the forum search function.

I wish my country had an anthem that made me so pumped and impressed with my country, and was so catchy:

Now, I was going to put down Infected Mushrooms' version of Shlack li Malach (Send Me an Angel), by Mashina.
But it turns out they've made this:
Which I like much more.

I don't dig much into famous composer's choral pieces. Rachmaninoff, Shostakovitch, Bach, Beethoven, even Mahler's symphonies featuring vocalists fall flat compared to their solely orchestra compositions. But the entirety of Mozart's Requiem is the longest I've ever gone with listening to any choral music in any language.

Yeah there's Orff's Carmina Burana, which I listened to live (even if you don't know the name I will bet you my kidney you know the opening), but I really prefer Mozart's style.

Also, there's Eric Whitacre, arguably the most famous contemporary choral composer because every high school and college music student has ran into one of his admittedly brilliant pieces.

Admittedly, I've looked up a translation, but as of this moment, I couldn't even tell you the name of the language, only that the title is basically "Regin the Smith."

(Huh, that part actually looks almost like english, I bet I could understand it! *plays* ... That's awesome, but what was he saying again?)

Native English speaker, with mediocre French that isn't enough to comprehend French songs and the speech of fluent speakers without dismantling them bit by bit.

I really like Beethoven's 9th Symphony's choral sections, mostly because of their use in Evangelion. Though I am quite the fan of Beethonen's works otherwise as well.

I think The Pillows among other Japanese artists I've been introduced to through anime are brilliant, despite that I understand almost none of the non-engrish lyrics.

I really like France's national anthem.

This Russian folk song has an instrumental in the Civilization series, and I ended up looking up the original song, which I really like.

English speaker here. Just the other day I was listening to the entire Carolus Rex album in Sabaton's native Swedish.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OMvFPp8dncU[/youtube]

Personally, I think a few of the songs such as the first one are better in English. Joakim doesn't seem to put quite the same power into the Swedish version, though I might just be too familiar with the English version. Third song is fantastic in Swedish though, as god or even better than in English.

On a seperate note, for posting Korpliklaani and Tyr videos, @Tuxedoman: and @Ingjald: are now my favourite Escapists of the day. :p

And no one on the planet can speak this language. Wicked band, and they release all their music on a 'pay what you want' basis.

I speak Portuguese and English fluently. I also speak Spanish considerably well.

So... If you count languages which I know a little bit, I'd say Alors on Danse, by Stromae (which is in French)
If you only count languages I absolutely know nothing about, then I'd go with Ievan Polkka, by Loituma (Finnish)

I really like Cirque du Soleil's Allegria song. Don't understand a word of the song and it's beautiful, even more than the English version later on the album.

One of the best album to listen to in the background during a relaxing dinner with friends

My song is a song I have heard while watching the anime Elfen Lied and although it is a sad song.

I purposefully put this one in the background while watching the last chapters of the manga and it has had a big effect on me emotionally.

My native language is romanian, my secondary is English. I can understand mildly well spanish, french, and flemish.

Anyway here it is. The language is in biblical latin.

PS: Can someone tell me how to embed yt videos? Thanks.

A whole bunch of Rammstein songs. Although, can I still choose those when I know a few bits of German? (I can't speak more than a few sentences (probably with incorrect grammar))

Just to list a few:
Fuhre Mich
Wollt Ihr Das Bett In Flammen Sehen
Weisses Fleich
Rein Raus
Bück Dich
etc. Nothing you should sing out loud near people who understand German =P
