Tyler Durden in Fight Club. He takes nihilism to an evil side.
"Satan" performed by Al Pacino. (Devil's Advocate).
Daniel Plainview in There Will be Blood. (MILKSHAKE).

Now before you say: "Those guys don't have any superpowers, except Satan". Let me reply you with this. Your precious Joker does not have any Superpowers either.

I've never really been into that whole heroes/villans crap so I can barely remember any super villans.

SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER
Ozymandias in Watchmen. He wasn't really evil, he just took on the necessary burden of the world. I also love how he actually did his act BEFORE the Protagonists showed up to stop him. That was ingenious.
END SPOILER END SPOILER END SPOILER
S.H.O.D.A.N and GLaDOS are good seconders, two, mostly because their A.I. isn't impeded by emotions, they're very tactical.

I don't think he's a supervillain..

he's not even an antagonist..

but HK-47 from KOTOR.

In terms of slimeball, Uncle Frankie and Paulie from The Darkness.
In terms of unpredictability, the Joker.
In terms of mastermind, Ozymandias from Watchmen.

i think darth vader is pretty badass.

i wouldn't say heath ledger's joker is quite the supervillain, he slathered it with too much realism to make it a "super" villain. he's still fucking awesome though.

but the joker in particular has to be the best villain. just read the killing joke... every time the joker said something i literally came in my pants.

Carnage is my favorite comic villain, I hope they don't put him into a Spider Man movie :p

Mr. Smith from the Matrix, I thought he was cool!

I don't like the Naruto anime but I reckon the Akatsuki are a great group of villains, all different skills and personality's. What a waste!

The Homunculi antagonists in Full Metal Alchemist are pretty sick, probably the only villains I wanted to die!

Hisoka and Lucifer from Hunter X Hunter are awsome.

And the Joker played by Heath Ledger, im not a Batman fan but the last movie was great!

Magneto from X-men. Partially because he wasn't exactly evil, he just hated humans. The movies make his power seem like the ultimate super-power too, and Ian Mckellen played him quite well.

Doctor Doom, Darkseid, Brainiac, Annihilus, Galactus, Black Adam and Ultron. These are the Supervillians I consider to be the most threatening, they show absolutely no remorse in their ultimate goal.

The super villian in Watchmen. (You know who, so do not spoil the movie for the people that have not read the book.) He was a complete jerk. Even if he did save the world.
His purpose was benevolent and he felt the remorse for his actions. There was no thirst for power, just reading the letters he wrote we know that he could've oriented his commercial enterprise to capitalise on this, but he did not. Despite what he did he had some scruples. I think the better term is a true "Anti-Hero".

Deadpool when he's on the other team. It's nice having a favorite comic character that works both sides of the fence. :)

I'd have to say Gigantor.

Er... Uh... I mean Mark Hamil's The Joker, from the Batman cartoon. It takes a lot to be the kind of bemused and belligerent voice for the Joker, and Mark Hamil pegged it. Hard.

Outside of that, I'd have to say Dracula. No one did the anti-hero like Dracula did, and he set the style for fiction baddies, and did it in freakin' style. Honorable mention to Jack the Ripper.

And General Morden and Allen O'Neil from the Metal Slug series, who've all died in gruesome and horrible ways, only to be alive in the next game. It takes a certain kind of tenaciousness to simply not-die the way they did.

Honorable mentions to every villian from Spiderman and Batman, those just strike me as the most delicious mixtures of sociopathic and comedic. Good writing, better acting. Stan Lee gets my props in this thread.

For DC it is Joker, not based on any movie all on the comics. For Marvel it is Carnage, again all comics, no cartoons.

I would have to say Magneto. Smart guy, always doing something interesting, somewhat sympathetic.
