A lot of great video games go unappreciated. What is your favorite unappreciated video game? Mine would have to be Hellgate: London. A great game that didn't get the appreciation it deserved.

Descent Freespace. An awesome space combat/flight sim that didn't get much reception.

The Godfather II - sure, the graphics weren't great, the controls were a little shotty, but that game was a lot of fun, and it had really interesting gameplay elements that I hadn't seen before. I also liked how it was faithful to the film, even though some of the re-creations of the movie's more dramatic scenes epically failed.

Yes and more yes. Maybe freelancer in that list also. I remember my dad playing descent 1 and 2 obsessively.

Homeworld (all of them) for me though!

Afrika. This game is about as realistic as you can get without actually being there. Too bad many players consider it terrible because the main goal is not genocide.

Viva Pinata. I've seen it being called 'a cute kiddies game'.
These people have obviously never played it. It's way harder then it looks and there's always enough to get you going back to it.

The Might and Magic series could go for some loving. That was Oblivion back in the day.

Fire Emblem. Ya it's more of a series but the entire thing needs more love. At least it needs to be recognized for its amazing story telling skills.

I think Dead Space gets a lot of flak, I don't know why, I thought it was pretty scary and it has decent action.

Glover is one game I love just for being as strange as it is, no one else seems to like it though.

And the Resident Evil remake for Gamecube was TERRIFYING the first time I played it.

I dont know why I just cant stand dead space. Its just sooo bland. At least to me. I forgot about glover. I loved that game. I remember the one part where you had a giant robot and had to shoot balls at the other giant robot. Ahhh good times. (I will also never forget the scream my glove let out when he fell off the earth. Because god knows I did it enough times.)

This game seems more like a decent sniper sim, if you want to give it an action view. Silently and slowly stalking your prey for hours on end before making the perfect shot.

Anyways, I have 2 I'll put in. Cryostasis and Metal Arms: Glitch in the System.

Destroy All Humans, obviously.

And Skies of Arcadia; most people have apparently never heard of that one but its such a good RPG.

I've said this many, many times but bare with me as I say it again.
Otogi: Myth of Demons, a stylish and artistic hack n' slash game with great elements to it and brilliant Japanese music and a theme of spiritual significance. It was a great game that just sort of popped up and after one sequel was sadly ported over and forgotten and it's a shame because if you ask me it is just begging to be rediscovered.

So far it would be Psychonauts. You could set squirrels on fire with your mind and there was a demented milkman for Christ's sake! Why didn't more people buy it?

I actually like Two Worlds. It's like an open-world Diablo (minus the epic story, though.)

Impossible Creatures.
Say what you will about the cookie-cutter gameplay, but that games concept was revolutionary.

50 Cent: Blood on the Sand is more fun than either Gears of War, since they did something brilliant: they turned it into a proper game. The addition of points made everything so much more fun. Especially because there was a button you could press to shout obscenities, which when pressed right after a kill would get you more points.

I just love bouncing. :D

It could've been better, but it was fun and unique enough to be memorable.
