war of the monsters was amazingly underrated. It had really really smooth controls, fun gameplay mechanics and EVERYTHING was able to be destroyed and used as a weapon. The only bad part was farming the campaign with each character for money to get new characters, but that could easily be fixed in a sequel

also 8 player co-op monster wars please ;__; the bug guy was the best for his quick counter-attacks

My own wouldn't be a single game, but a character of a game series called "Bonk." The little caveman was (technically) my first platformer game on the gameboy who was strongarmed out of existence by the likes of Mario and Sonic. To be fair though, the game wasn't a classic but I still played through to the end (One of the weirdest endings to a game too, if anyone is interested.)

Lost Kingdoms.

Very few people seem to know about it, but it's one of the best games I've ever played.

Cone to think of it, I don't think I've ever met someone else who owns it.
I not only (still) own it, I also own Lost Kingdoms 2. I wonder if this game inspired Yu Gi Oh?

Anyway, another game I'd like to see resurrected is an old PC game called Dark Legions. It was part Stratego, part overhead beat-em-up. You placed your various army memebers (wizard, demon, illusionist, thief, etc.) on a map, gave one of them an orb (flag) and sent them at each other. When you met the opposing forces, you had a top down battle between the two characters.

Darkest of Days. If only it had decent graphics, because I found the game to be very underrated. Granted I may be biased because the developers are based in my home state(Iowa).

A Bard's Tale. People really didn't notice it but I thought it was a hilarious satire about all the generic go-save-the-princess-at-the-top-of-the-tower bullshit. While granted the game play was a bitrepetitive and it suffered from the same collect-y feel as Ratchet and Clank, but the game had good challenges and your summoned allies were numerous and varied. If you're into the RPG story and get a chance to play this, do. You will laugh your nipples off
I second this. The controls were awkward at first, but once you get your bearing, it actually becomes a rather good game, if a bit frustrating at times.
